ISA Rampage In Malaysia

Portfolio changes today. Dollah to take over the Defense Ministry while Najib to be the Finance Minister. It does not take a genius to figure why such arrangement was made. Image courtesy of The Malaysian Insider, read more here.

On top of that another blogger was arrested at 5PM today. Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz aka kickdefella was arrested at Kota Bahru believed to be under the ISA and his controversial Malaysian flag incident. Malaysiakini reported here.

And a statement made by Dollah Badawi which rather disturbing. Mr. Prime Minister made a statement that opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a THREAT to the country's economy because of his constantly misleading remarks over investments and promises to topple the government. Read again ISA is detention without trial, no warrant needed and nobody know how long the detention will be. Who is threaten? The country or Dollah himself? Malaysiakini with its report here.

Grrr.....

Vigil Tonight, Sabah Tomorrow

It's 6.30PM now. The weather seems gloomy, it seems like rain is unavoidable. Nevertheless, I will be there tonight for the solidarity for RPK. Having the privilege to work in the building beside the stadium, let me update a bit what's happening right now.

They ground peeps are erecting the PA systems and tents. And I can see many individuals setting up tables, perhaps for the buka puasa function later. Hopefully by then the weather will be on our side. For non-muslims, be there roughly around 9PM onwards as our Muslim friends will start their buka puasa session, Maghrib & Isyak prayers followed by Tarawih prayers.

Be there together and expect talks from leaders like YB Lim Kit Siang, YB Hadi Awang & Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Today's vigil expected to end at midnight.

And I will be carrying a big task tomorrow. Tomorrow, Sept 16th, I will be summoned to Sabah. And tomorrow is also a public holiday for Sabah in conjunction of the TYT's birthday. Will be there to see what I can do to make the frogs jump.

Hehehe... no lah, I am just joking. But the real fact is that I am going to Sabah on a project meeting not on politics. I will be back on the same day.

A hectic day. Luckily it's a holiday on Wednesday. See you peeps, let's pray Malaysia Day will come true.

Cheers!

Botak...Oh...Botak

Sigh Botak... I do not understand what quality in you that made you the Home Minister. Public order apa? And you made a statement that the usage of ISA to arrest the Sin Chew Daily reporter, Tan Hoon Cheng is actually to protect her. God sake, what school you graduated from? Yes, you are right about Malaysian. So who are the one who first made the remark about Chinese? So you are saying that he is not the one who is responsible for the unrest? The reporter that reported it is the one to be blamed?

Botak...oh...botak...though you might look old but you definitely not smarter than a 12-year old kid. Bodoh!

Anak Bangsa Malaysia - Stay Calm

The best weapon to scare Malaysians is back, the ISA - Internal Security Act, detention without trial, whatever definition you may call it. It is confirmed that 3 person were arrested under this cruel act. Or should I say the abuse of the act. First it was Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) and not too long ago, Seputeh MP, Teresa Kok was arrested 11.20PM. To add into this, Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng was arrested too. The Star reported here.

RPK was arrested for publishing blog postings that were said to insult the Malay & Muslims. As for Teresa, although there is no statement stating the reason of her arrest, I suspect it had something to do with the mosque issue in Kota Damansara (read it here). And as for Tan, the reporter was arrested for exposing the Ahmad Ismail's infamous use of the word "immigrants".

After reading RPK's latest posting or his last posting before he got arrested, I urge everyone to calm down. All these arrestments will definitely ignite anger & hatred but we need to calm down. I believe the latest ISA detainees will share the same message to all, the world is watching us. Truth & justice will prevail definitely.

There are more reasons now to flood the country with SMSes, emails or whatever medium is possible to be in Kelana Jaya Stadium this 15th September 2008 at 8PM.

God bless the victims.

UPDATES: A message from Marina (RPK's wife) to the public. Again peeps, dibawa bertenang...

I Am A Sept 16th Desperado

I am desperate to see the change and I do pray for Sept 16th to happen. There is nothing much to be proud of when you read the news everyday about Malaysia. Again and again, a number of gobloks in the country had made it a laughing stock of the world.

To sum it up of what's happening this week.

1. Ahmad Ismail was suspended mere 3 years for calling Chinese 'immigrants' & 'American Jews'. I am wondering if the above statement does not sound like a sedition.

2. Home Ministry sent 3 show cause letters to local newspapers. They are,

Local english daily - TheSun

Opposition weekly bulletin - Suara Keadilan

Local Chinese newspaper - Sin Chew Jit Poh

I am wondering if they will do the same to Utusan Malaysia for its piece of this
false reporting.

3. The cabinet instructed MCMC to lift its ban on Malaysia-Today website yesterday. However, little do we know that the cabinet decided to arrest national hero, Raja Petra under the ISA. RPK was arrested today at 1.10PM.

If you really want to do something for this man, get your phone and flood the country with this SMS:

"RPK detained under the ISA. Show solidarity with him on 15 Sept, at 8PM at the Kelana Jaya Stadium."

I am cancelling all my appointment on Monday evening to attend to this. It's time to put the ISA into the bin. Enough is enough, lawan tetap lawan!

On a separate note, I am not feeling too well today, took a medical leave, went to see doctor and was diagnosed with hypertension. Hmm... time for a change for myself too...

Have a nice weekend peeps!

ISA - Undang2 Kepala Bapak Kau!

A little modification to Cyndi Lauper's song,

"I see your true colors haunting through
I see your true colors that's why I fuck you"

Read Uncle Kit's posting here. I can remember it was like my younger days, when you cannot stare cock at a person, if not he will confront you and said, "what the fuck you looking at?" Without reason, you can be bashed up anytime for no reason. Same here, if Dollah hates you, with no reason, ISA applies.

A Black Week

I thought I can write about the movie I watched last night over a post for a Saturday but it is very heartbreaking reading some of the postings that I subscribed to. At times, many felt lucky as Malaysia is a free from natural disasters, volcanoes, earthquakes, typhoon, etc. But Malaysia is somehow had been a sad country itself caused by man made disasters.

I am practically reproducing what I read, see over the postings, I believe this will not be in detail in the mainstream paper.

Aina at most right

Aina, a 17-years old girl. She was 7-years of age when his dad was detained under the cruel ISA. For freaking 7-years, Aina's dad was detained without trial. He can be guilty or innocent in a layman common sense, but this ISA thingy said as long as the government felt that you are a threat to the country, you can be detained under ISA without trial. This is really cruel, innit? You, me, anybody who the ruling authorities felt that you are a threat to the country, they will detain you under ISA.

Summary, the heartbreaking part - Aina was somehow not well, admitted to the hospital and fighting for her life on the 2nd July 2008. Her family immediately informed authorities in Kamunting (ISA detention center) to allow Shahrial (Aina's dad) to be with her for the last time. However, Shahrial was only informed on the 3rd July 2008. Doctors diagnosed and told Aina's mom that Aina had only few hours of life left. Aina's mother made a personal appeal to Kamunting detention center, they are not allowed to release anybody without Syed Hamid's signature. By the time Shahrial was released, Aina had already passed away. It's painful to write this like any other bloggers, it's really painful.

Syed Hamid, God Bless You.

Read more here, here, here & here.

RIP Aina.
