ISA Rampage In Malaysia

Portfolio changes today. Dollah to take over the Defense Ministry while Najib to be the Finance Minister. It does not take a genius to figure why such arrangement was made. Image courtesy of The Malaysian Insider, read more here.

On top of that another blogger was arrested at 5PM today. Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz aka kickdefella was arrested at Kota Bahru believed to be under the ISA and his controversial Malaysian flag incident. Malaysiakini reported here.

And a statement made by Dollah Badawi which rather disturbing. Mr. Prime Minister made a statement that opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a THREAT to the country's economy because of his constantly misleading remarks over investments and promises to topple the government. Read again ISA is detention without trial, no warrant needed and nobody know how long the detention will be. Who is threaten? The country or Dollah himself? Malaysiakini with its report here.

Old Poll Retired, New Nuffnang Poll Kicks Off

I started a Nuffnang poll called "Prime Minister of Malaysia" not too long ago, about 100ish participated and here are my findings.

First question, "Who performed the best as PM for Malaysia since independence?". As expected Tun Dr Mahathir was elected the best performed PM, I too got to agree with this. Many perhaps are saying that the current political turmoil in BN was caused by Tun himself but look around us in Malaysia, whether you like it or not, Tun Mahathir did put Malaysia recognised in the world.

My second question was, "Who is the worst PM for Malaysia since independence?". Without me further elaborating, Dollah won this time around thanks for his flip-flopping and occassionally caught napping in meetings.

Many are unsatisfied with Dollah's administration at the moment. Many are unhappy and wanted change. Just like the rest, I would love to see the coming of Sept 16.

Finally, when asked who will be their most preferred choice to be the new PM replacing Dollah, Anwar garnered the most votes, followed closely by the No.1 blogger in Malaysia, Raja Petra while Najib can barely be seen with just a 11% votes.

Guess most of mikemmery's readers are opting for a change too. With Achmed case now put to rest (he had since been suspended for 3 years), Dollah biggest enemy now is the man who handpicked him as the PM. Tun Mahathir was reported to return to UMNO but... but... his membership will due to the current president's approval. Let's see the drama there. For once, BN looks like an underdog this time around.

Oh ya, I started a new poll, please do play a part of it. Thanks to all previous voters.

Got to run for my pint of Guinness now.

Ciaoz!

Can We Have More DSAI & RPK In The Country?

First, it was Anwar. Then it was RPK. The government is fully utilizing its machineries to clamp down this 2 icons of Malaysia. These 2 icons stressed again & again, "LAWAN TETAP LAWAN!"

Let's look at the what happened this week.

  1. DSAI was served court order to stay away from parliament, to be exact to stay away 5km radius from the parliament, basically it is asking DSAI to be under house arrest as his residence is near to the parliament.
  2. DSAI agreed to give his statement at IPK 2PM but was arrested an hour before the timeline at his house with more than a dozen of police vehicles with police in balaclavas (if you play counterstrike, you will know what is it)
  3. DSAI cooperated, was even stripped naked and got his private part measured. He slept on the cement slab in IPK.
  4. Immediately DSAI was released on bail, RPK's turn to be arrested and charged under criminal defamation.
  5. Roadblocks in 22 hotspots to ensure public safety (fucking shit, I was late for work for god sake - 20 of my other colleagues were late that day)
  6. Botak in yesterday Star paper said "Syed Hamid: Anwar need not fear giving sample". This botak is trying to influence an ongoing investigation but no action so far against botak. (DNA samples during the 1998 case was too old? Sekolah hutan mana you keluar botak? DNA cannot be manipulated BUT can be planted, see the reason why now? Duh... botak)
  7. Private investigator, Bala & nephew's lawyers were called to police station for questioning. (now polis nak takut takutkan lawyers pulak tu, polis tak tau apa tu professionalism kah?)
  8. The Oil Debate - So what? We know who won, who is more intellectual and who is from the jungle school but so what?
Government is using its media, its police force, its judiciary system against 2 icons who got the rakyat behind them. We got YouTube, Blogger, Google all behind us.

LAWAN TETAP LAWAN!

Are You Still Confident With The PM?

Pak Lah announced that he will step down as PM of Malaysia in 2010 and no contest for the top two post in UMNO during the perhimpunan agung end of this year.

4 months plus after he retained his power, 5 years since 2003, what had Malaysia becoming? Can we afford to wait another 2 years after all his flips-flops? What if by 2010, he changes his mind? I personally want him & his regime down. He does not even have balls to debate with DSAI this 15th July 2008 on ways how to manage the world petrol price hike (poor Shabery).

4 months plus, Pakatan Rakyat had shown us some enlightenment. I fully support in this call of no confidence motion on our Flip-Flop PM.

Are you with me?

Malaysian Drama Is More Interesting Than TVB Drama

2008 saw a new time high in Malaysia's political scene. 8th March 2008, the political tsunami finally taught the ever-arrogant BN a lesson. Though the BN still ruling the country by a simple majority, it seems that the Dollah government does not seem to know how to please the people. We were slapped with a 41% petrol price hike (it's still seriously painful to most of us) then come this July a 18% increase of electricity for residence, in which earlier this year Najib brushed off news of price hike in petrol, this indicates that Ministers also human, they do LIE. Our PM also lied, making the tag team of Dollah-Najib Liar Liar. Then we have SAPP issue. More interestingly, read this following article, to believe or not to believe, totally up to you. So much more drama to watch and I cannot wait till the finale.

Sorry for the non-update for the past few days, there is no other reason than work that is keeping me away from other personal stuff. Got to also accompany my girlfriend friend. This morning slept at 4AM, went to this new nightclub in PJ, The Vivo Club (you know those club with overpriced Swing & with GROs sitting with you), blardy tired and sleepy now.

Today after work will be away for Mahjong and over the weekend I participated in some game organized by the Mix.FM Roadrunner team, I won the premiere screening for Run Fatboy Run.

Signing off for now. Though market is bad, I wonder why the corporate sales side (my department) is doing so well. It must be me... AHEM AHEM... must be I am a damn good strategist *perasan*

Back to work now... DUH?!?!?

Don't Angry With Pak Lah, He's Just A Farmer

Every now on then, we read a lot in blogosphere condemning our current premier "flip-flop" Badawi. I was drinking with a client last night, who is holding director post in a MNC, and we venture our conversation from a business one to a political one when he made the remark, "Correct! Correct! Correct!"

He told me he hates Pak Lah but sometimes come to think about it, all is not well his fault, he was made the PM by Tun Dr Mahathir by chance. And he is definitely not an economist. He is a farmer and Nasi Kandar champion. With his little knowledge about economy, he is relying a lot from the 4th floor boys. He is the classic among all Prime Ministers of Malaysia. He reminded me of the once upon a time famous Chipsmore cookies advert, "Now you see it, Now you don't!"

It is sad to see a farmer championing the country at the moment. You know all the ex-PM in Malaysia were given the title of "FATHER" or "BAPA" depending on their contribution to the nation. Tunku Abdul Rahman was our Father of Independence, Tun Abdul Razak was our Father of Development, Tun Hussein Onn was known as the Father of Unity and as for Tun Dr Mahathir, he was greatly known as the Father of Modernization. As for Badawi, he should be known as Father of what? Bapak apa? With such pressures from the public, he still think he had done nothing wrong and he is not responsible for the political tsunami on 8th March 2008. He asked the people to change lifestyle, like how? Planting veges & rearing chicken?

However, the most discussed topic in any kopitiam now would be will we see the change by Sept 16th dateline as per DSAI say? I am really looking forward to it. We certainly need an individual with great charisma & personality to run the country. Most importantly, someone who understand what economy is. Although I am a bit skeptical but I would give this man the benefit of the doubt should he be the No.1 man of Malaysia. At least, IMHO, he will not flip-flop like the former. I read about his vow to the nation and I believe he can make it happen.

Let's stop ranting about Pak Lah and have faith with the Sept 16th dateline. It's a great weekend.

Hey Pak Lah, jom nasi kandar?

Party That Rule Malaysia, Party BN, Party Barang Naik

snaps courtesy of TVSmith

Every Tom, Dick & Harry were talking about it this morning and probably they will continue debating about it during their lunch & dinner time.

Petrol price increased by a massive of 40%.

Full tank on my MyVi previously may cost around RM60, now I have to fork out RM84 for a mere 1.3 litre car.

Who to blame? Barisan Najis? The government? I would say it was those who voted them in to be blamed. Parti Keadilan De Facto Leader, DSAI with his press statement stressing that keeping the petrol price low is still one of his top priority agenda.

And you think RM2.70/litre is a burden? Price will be reviewed monthly.

Do you also know that with every increase of US$1 per barrel for crude oil, Malaysia is earning an additional of US$250 million? Where is the logic? Why must we support a government who assumed the rakyat do not know the math? Why compare us to other countries that do not have oil & gas? Why not you compare us with the country who produces oil & gas?

According to the Finance Minister 2, Nor Mohamed bin Yakcop in an interview, "...keuntungan Petronas sepatut digunakan untuk masa depan negara dan juga anak-anak dan cucu-cucu kita..." full interview here.

Anak siapa? Cucu siapa? Goblok!

After petrol, TNB also announced to increase their rates. Who to blame in the end of the day?

Petrol naik.... checked! 40%
Elektrik naik... checked! 18% for home
Barang naik.... CONFIRMED! (?)%

Gaji naik??? I doubt, if yes what is the rate???

Here In My Home

Here in my home; the federal government send a warning to bloggers that they are watching us. Watching & warning us the bloggers who are telling the truths. I say to you my dear government, "I Blog Without Fear"

Here in my home; just a couple of days back, I watched over youtube a Chinese teenager being brutally beaten by FRUs and plain-clothes policemen. Seeing my fellow Malaysian brother being beaten, I am angry and I will further condemn the government and press & promote for a total change. It seems that they had not learn their 8th of March political tsunami lesson, the flip flop led government still as arrogant as before. I embedded the video from Malaysiakini, watch it & tell me if you are as angry as I am or not. Damn!

Here in my home; prices of food & drinks increased, my salary increment is so pathetic, am having really bad day at work place, I wish I can politicking well in office too, but too bad I am not sound at polishing certain figures' shoes. Everything negative seems to jumble and hit me at one go, I collapsed and try very hard to be at my feet again. I will be back, I promised!

Here in my home; however, I have 120 Malaysian artistes who care for our unity. Kudos to the 120, you definitely put the real MPs to shame by touching hundred of thousands Malaysians. Check out their site here, you can download the MP3 of the song absolutely complimentary. Check the music video and the content of the song is something those corrupted. Here you go... everybody sing a long.

Here in My Home
- Malaysian Artistes For Unity -

Hold on, brother hold on
The road is long, we’re on stony ground
(But) I’m strong, and you ain’t heavy
Oh there’s a miss-spoken truth that lies
Colors don’t bind; oh no
What do they know? They speak falsely

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

(Chorus)
Fall in, fall in
Fall in with me
Fall in, fall in, fall in with me

Push back sister won’t you push back?
Love won’t wait, just keep pushing on
Yes I’m strong, you ain’t heavy
Oh don’t you worry about that
What we have shadows can’t deny
Don’t you know it’s now or never?

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
And that’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one … ?

(Rap)
Years of fears and years of tribulation
The heart keeps searching for that endless devotion
Hand in hand we’ll march like blood brothers
I speak for my people, hope we’ll find peace forever
May the road ahead quench my thirst for success
May the road behind echo a song of the blessed
Yes I feel it in my bones, so I will let it be known
That no matter where I roam this is home sweet home
Sing!

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

Thorn(S) in the Flesh

Tun Dr M vs "Flip Flop" Pak Lah received many reactions from other netizens who blogged. Who is the real thorn in the flesh? As vocal as before, I felt Tun Dr M won the battle over the sleepy head, read Chedet.

This man below calls Tun Dr M the thorn in the UMNO flesh finally left. And Tun Dr M countered with this. Don't you remember you were once the thorn as well?

If it is true that this man is the thorn in UMNO's flesh, why this old man wanna involved the King to solve the issue? Aziz Tapa, lu ni OK tak?

I would say the REAL thorns are still enjoying themselves in UMNO. Love the poster below from Mob's Crib.

Let's watch the drama. Now only the beginning!

The REAL Definition of RUDE

Not too long ago, Karpal Singh, the DAP Tiger was regarded as disrespectful for allegedly "QUESTIONING" the powers of the Sultan of Perak over the reinstatement of state Religious Department director Datuk Jamry Sury, who had earlier been transferred by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.

The above mentioned were splashed all over the major newspaper and created such a hoo-haa among the UMNOputras. Even our 'Flip-Flop' PM urged the Attorney General to speed up the investigation of the case when there are far more cases yet to be solved in this country.

Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) secretary-general, in the press statement commented,
"...it was unbecoming of Karpal, who is also Bukit Gelugor MP, to release such a statement, which could THREATEN RACIAL STABILITY. His statement not only insults the Sultan, but also the Malay Rulers institution and the Constitution. He is RUDE and should apologise to Sultan Azlan Shah for issuing such a statement."

Izin-kan saya yang berhormat, excerpt from Malaysia-today article,
"...Rosmah phoned His Highness the Sultan of Selangor and scolded him. Rosmah spoke to His Highness the way you would scold a dog that shit on your new carpet."

Read the full stories here.

Can someone tell me the definition of "RUDE" now?

We Made The Right Choice

Latest from the net, Marina posted bail and RPK should be released by tomorrow. Hidup RPK! We love you!

And on a separate note, the choice we made on 8th March 2008, you judge yourself with the few coming youtubes that I am going to publish. When we have doubts on the country's judiciary system, rest assured, we have calibre MPs who will indeed fight for us, stand for us against this corrupted barisan najis. The arrest of RPK clearly shown "The Empire Strikes Back", Sedition Act was used instead of defamation. Take a look at all 4 videos and see for yourself how Kinabatangan merajuk.

And oh ya, thanks a lot Yang Berhormat Lim Kit Siang...

FREE RPK

A friend who is also a fellow reader of my blog asked, "Mike, why are you so upset when RPK got arrested as it is none of your business? You had a career, a decent life, why care risking yourself with this post?"

Here's my reply to you. If it is not your flesh that is being cut, you will never feel the pain. You choose to be ignorant but not me. When I read Marina's (RPK's wife) post here, I felt her pain, I felt the tormenting time she is going through as a wife and a mother. We have the power and right to speak out our opinion, my parents gave me higher level of education not only just to earn a decent living in some MNCs but my parents also taught me the basic principle of life. My parents also taught me how to distinguish between what's logic and what's insanity.

On 8th of March, we had shown them the sign, the political tsunami, the voice of the rakyat. Read the wiki definition of Sedition Act (Malaysia) 1948 and using this, the barisan najis think they can f**king (I censored as I know my top management read my blog now) shut the bloggers up and cripple the Malaysiakini operation. Sorry to say, I blog & voice my opinion without fear and this whole saga had indeed upset the whole blogosphere. We indeed had enough of lies & sweet promises from the sleeping log. Arresting RPK alone will not do any help, there are hundreds of other political bloggers out there (although not as insprational as RPK) will definitely stand behind him and we will continue to voice our unhappiness here, this is my own space, we have the exclusivity here. The only law you can do against us will be the Sedition Act 1948.

Am I seditious here?

Well... my hero opts for jail to prove a point, I am here too for a better nation, better law & right and a better future.

PEACE!

Utusan Malaysia - Insulting Malaysian Intelligence?

Short Note: Going Wan Chai for infamous noodle, sis recommended damn nice.

Look at this masterpiece from Amiruddin Harun & Nor Zainah Nordin. Sekali lagi, stop insulting our intelligence, boleh kah? Jangan buat lawak bodoh. Oh ya, in between the Government revoke Makkal Osai paper, I got a message to Mr. Albar, "Lesen Utusan tu review jugak lar"

Look at their lame Photoshop skill here. Quickly view it, tau lar, mamat nanti dah receive banyak komen, tentu delete punya, macam mamat kat melaka tu.

Fcuking full of shits!

Mikemmery Pimped Venetian, Macao

As many would have know, I was away from town for the past few days. I am now in Hong Kong and will be here for another few more days. I can sense hell awaiting me when I am back in Malaysia as calls flooded in when I am here.

Anyway, put that aside. I reached Macao last Sunday via MAS. My second time to Macao but this time around I will be staying in one of the world's best hotel, The Venetian Macao. I did read KennySia's experience here and I never expect to enjoy such luxury until my company's HQ in Korea held a commercial seminar here.

This hotel has 3,000 rooms & the largest casino in the world. Their smallest room is as per picture below...

I got to say this gotta be one of the best hotel room I stayed in my entire life and it is a little too big for me and how I wish I can be with my loved one here where we gonna enjoy making love all night long in this room. Basically it has all business center services you need, fax machine, card reader, wifi, printing services, blah blah blah... And this is the standard room, I am wondering how other suites would look like. DAMN!

Enough said bout the room. Let me take you guys for a tour around Venetian. Basically Level 1 is the casino, blardy big and obviously I am not allowed to take any picture in this level, much much better than Genting. So let's go level 2 - The Canal Shoppes. In Venetian, the night comes pretty late.

This is how it looks like at 9pm.

These are men-made indoor artificial clouds and it felt like as if you are not in an Asian country, felt like as if you are in Venice. Few hundred shops around selling branded stuff, jewelery, MAC Store, boutiques & food court. There is a canal too, they hired 'guai lous' to ride sampan and sing some opera songs.

And of course for food, you will never find McD or KFC here. The most affordable food around can be found at the food court. On my first day there, I had this beef tenderloin noodles. And the food... hmm... tasteless, sucky! And it costs me about HKD60. But it definitely has a very nice & clean food court. Not all the food is bad though.

A free & easy first day for me and Venetian is so big and I never got to tour all of it. Went to the casino and played the roulette machine. Made a bit on the first day. Happy happy day with happy happy ending :)

I would be super duper happier if Pak Lah resign! :P
