My Salami Continues...

Hello peeps! My weekend was pretty hectic, got no time to update as much as I want to. Took a few pictures during my weekend at Melaka.

Remember my previous post about Salami? This is the continuation from the previous post, I received an email from my ex-colleague who insisted me to correct the previous post and insisted me to publish the contents of his email. This post is purely copied from the email. This is seriously a post with a lot of explicit words which will not be suitable for juniors. Here is how the email sounded like this...

"Braler, I do not know if salami equals our happy stick, dependent on who is saying it, I believe female’s ‘male-docking-station’ can also be refered to as

1. Mei Mei
2. Camel Toe
3. Puh Kee
4. Hai (pronounce in Cantonese)
5. Ch**bai / Ch**pet
6. Pet Pet
7. See Ham (cockles)
8. Pau Yue (abalone)
9. Clams
10. Pussy

Cheerio Nachio,

D"

My Salami

I was having dinner with my ex-colleagues & a female friend last night at The Curve. It had been a while since I last meet the bunch. We had great time and like many others who are close to me, they are very interested in my private life, like if I found a gf or not.

D: "So Mike, what's new in your life?"
Me: "Been busy with works, what do you want to know?"
D: "Though busy with works, once in a while you got to get service your salami"
Me: "Huh?"
N (a girl): "Mike, your antenna very short-lah"

Then when I got back home, I did a wikipedia on "SALAMI" and....

"Salami is cured sausage, fermented and air-dried. Salami may refer specifically to a class of salumi (the Italian tradition of cured meats), where an individual sausage or style of sausage (e.g. Genoa) would be referred to with the singular Italian form salame."

Then I finally know what he meant by servicing my salami. Hmm... interesting.

It had been a while since I last got my salami serviced. Right now at the moment, my salami perhaps look like this.

Got caught up in the net. If they can regard guy's part as salami, I am wondering what do you call for the opposite sex? Any idea?

ps: it had been a great fun night, thanks to dave for the dinner & guiness draught.

Good Bye Najib

Najib will never be a PM by 2010. Why? If Pete is true, Najib is the biggest liar in the country.

"Yes, Najib met Saiful to discuss how to fix Anwar on a sodomy allegation. No doubt, at first Najib denied all this. At first he said he never met Saiful, not even once in his life. Then he admitted meeting Saiful but said he met Saiful to offer the young man ‘career guidance’ and to discuss his future, scholarship, and all such matters. The first statement was a lie. The second was also a lie. Najib met Saiful to discuss the sodomy allegation against Anwar."

Read more here.

This perhaps also indicate that Dollah will stay on power beyond 2010. Or is it the end of BN?

Why So Serious?

Went for midnight show for The Dark Knight last night. It is indeed the best Batman movies ever and the best movie I had watched this year. The details and the storyline are simply superb.

However, Batman's role was overshadowed by Heath Ledger playing the Joker. I do think Heath deserves an Oscar for his role in the movie. He however passed away due to some overdose complications.

Unlike many other superheroes movies where most of the bad guys conclusion we have very much expected it to be, but Joker is so unpredictable, as if you wanting for more and more and more to come from him. And it just felt good that this 2 guys fighting each other without much usage of supernatural power or whatsoever, it is so much of strategy and something like in the Chinese movie Infernal Affairs where in the end you do not know what is coming, who is bad and who is good, that kind of suspense.

"You know why I got this scars?" asked Joker. His voice, his laughters. Seldom in a movie you will see the villain overshadow the hero. This is one of them. And I really do not mind for a second watch. Anyone?

Crossroad @ 30

It's not my birthday as yet. Attended my colleague's wedding dinner last night. He is 32 and it was a grand & beautiful night. And many asked when it will be my turn. I have plan. You know everyone got his/her plan, just the matter whether the plan will come true or not. I need to focus more on what I am good at for the current moment, with the economy turmoil that we are facing now, it needs even a greater effort to work extraordinary hard for survival.

For the past 2 years being single, it had been really tough time to pick up my bits & pieces here and there but it is a good challenging time. I learned the hardship and people who are close with me can see the lousiest time of my life. This 2 years also, I had built up my network from all people regardless of industries & backgrounds, met really nice & beautiful people around.

A breakthrough needed - hopefully the breakthrough will come through :)

OK, a good rejuvenating Monday for me today. Am on leave, forcing myself to clear leaves accumulated since last year. Come tomorrow, I will be on a very heavy schedule.

I am going for Dark Knight later midnight show with my buddies.

OK, just babbling here.

Have a good day ahead!

Hennessy Artistry Pictures

Short Note: The difference between barisan najis & pakatan rakyat here.

What a saturday night it is. Glad to see all my LCD TVs working well and pimping the whole Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena for the Hennessy Artistry. Glad the MD of Riche Monde, Frederic is happy with the TV. Thanks for the VIP passes anyway.

Bumped into a few old friends, people from Universal Music, suppliers & clients. I was told most of the bloggers were in Miami, I myself was in Paris with *ahem* (clearing throats) - damn the cocktail still lingering around my body. I thought the cocktails were a bit hard for me to accept, prefer mine to go with ginger ale. Lots of drinks, lots of girls (sexy girls), lots of sweat. Anyone got lucky last night?

Long story short, I got some of these pictures courtesy from Michael Yip. My camera was in someone's bag now. Hmm....

Consecutive of 4 days drinking this week, uhh... "doc, my liver still ok ar?"

Can We Have More DSAI & RPK In The Country?

First, it was Anwar. Then it was RPK. The government is fully utilizing its machineries to clamp down this 2 icons of Malaysia. These 2 icons stressed again & again, "LAWAN TETAP LAWAN!"

Let's look at the what happened this week.

  1. DSAI was served court order to stay away from parliament, to be exact to stay away 5km radius from the parliament, basically it is asking DSAI to be under house arrest as his residence is near to the parliament.
  2. DSAI agreed to give his statement at IPK 2PM but was arrested an hour before the timeline at his house with more than a dozen of police vehicles with police in balaclavas (if you play counterstrike, you will know what is it)
  3. DSAI cooperated, was even stripped naked and got his private part measured. He slept on the cement slab in IPK.
  4. Immediately DSAI was released on bail, RPK's turn to be arrested and charged under criminal defamation.
  5. Roadblocks in 22 hotspots to ensure public safety (fucking shit, I was late for work for god sake - 20 of my other colleagues were late that day)
  6. Botak in yesterday Star paper said "Syed Hamid: Anwar need not fear giving sample". This botak is trying to influence an ongoing investigation but no action so far against botak. (DNA samples during the 1998 case was too old? Sekolah hutan mana you keluar botak? DNA cannot be manipulated BUT can be planted, see the reason why now? Duh... botak)
  7. Private investigator, Bala & nephew's lawyers were called to police station for questioning. (now polis nak takut takutkan lawyers pulak tu, polis tak tau apa tu professionalism kah?)
  8. The Oil Debate - So what? We know who won, who is more intellectual and who is from the jungle school but so what?
Government is using its media, its police force, its judiciary system against 2 icons who got the rakyat behind them. We got YouTube, Blogger, Google all behind us.

LAWAN TETAP LAWAN!

The Debate: Anwar Won But So What?

I witnessed the debate between the two politician themselves. Strawberry was grilled, in my eyes he is not in the same league as Anwar. There were clappings for Strawberry though but in my very frank opinion, this shown and clearly indicated from what jungle school these people were from.

Anwar was only in his first gear, Strawberry just does not match the qualities of a MP, if with his knowledge and way of conversing and debating, I think I can be a better MP than him. Stuttering most of the time speak with mouthful of saliva, he failed miserably to stick to the topic, prefer personal attack. Gosh, he lost the debate even in the first round already.

So, Anwar won hands down, but so what? Government will still use all its machineries to nail him down. As expected he is currently arrested. Like I said, what will happen to Strawberry now? Will the fella really resign? No, with this governence, we will not see anything, we will not see change or whatever. Those BN punks are so arrogant. All BN did does not make any human sense at all. Flip-flopping seems to be the trend. Police, A-G, media all pro-BN, what are left for us to do next?

Malaysians do not like to walk the street, demo or rally or whatsoever, never. We were warned, some are afraid, we are like a puppet to this dirty governence. They say sit, most will sit, stand most will stand. Things will change soon, but how? Is BN testing the people's patience? Can the Vendetta really happen in this country? Or we still better sit in our own comfort zone, be quiet, stop critisizing as long as we can find enough to feed ourselves?

Do the government really want to test the People's Power? And my concern here is, does everyone have the same courage & same faith as me?

ENOUGH IS REALLY ENOUGH!!!

See the videos of the debate here.

Can't Smile Without You

Can't Smile Without You - Barry Manilow

You know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you

You came along just like a song
And brightened my day
Who would have believed that you were part of a dream
Now it all seems light years away

And now you know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile

Now some people say happiness takes so very long to find
Well, I'm finding it hard leaving your love behind me

And you see I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel glad when you're glad
I feel sad when you're sad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you

Simple song simple lyrics innit? Now you know why hellboy can't smile?

Tony Fernandes Explained

It all triggered when I questioned Mr. Tony on certain issues affecting Air Asia & MAHB lately. Wangsa Maju MP YB Wee Choo Keong in one of his post titled "AirAsia owes MAHB RM110 million, not RM60 million as claimed by Tony Fernandes"

I guess YB Wee Choo Keong needs to listen not only to his sources but also listen what Mr. Tony has to say on this issue. AirAsia in fact had created history in Malaysian aviation industry. With AirAsia, everyone can fly affordably and will it be any good to tarnish or to kill them with all these accusations?

Here Tony explained,

to all who have commented on airasia and the recent statements on MAB.

It is a shame at some of the very strong remarks and dare I say hate with regards to airasia and myself.

I thought with more democracy there would be less hearsay and crticism would be on fact and that all would be given a fair hearing.

I have invited YB Wee to come to airasia and look at our books and grill me on all. We have nothing to hide and am very proud of what we have achieved in malaysia . We think the only way to get a fair hearing is for YB Wee to come over.

Some of you want airasia to go bust. Will that be good for malaysia . Remember what airfares were like when there was no Airasia. And for those who dislike me so much if we go bust what about the 6,500 employees who work for us. What about the people who never had a chance to be a pilot in MAS or an engineer. What about the guy with no SPM and was carrying bags for us who is sitting his final exams to be a pilot .

50 million people have flown since we started many who never had a chance to fly.
If we are so politically strong why are we still fighting for a level playng field . Why cant we get all routes, why cant we fly out of subang when firefly can.

We have no union in airasia because people are treated fairly . I may run out of space so will reply on mab in next post.

We have never been treated favourably over mas. All I want is a level playing field . We are still treated unfavourably. For the record airasia owes not a cent to MAS. Our purported debts to MAB is from 2006 not 2002 when we moved to the LCCT.

We do not own the LCCT , malaysian airports do and 4 other airlines use it . We actually saved the country a fortune . If MAB did not build the LCCT they would have had to build a premium terminal which would have cost in the region of 2 Billion. There was no room to accomodate both Airasia and MAS in KLIA.

Kamarudin,Aziz and myself have worked like dogs to get to where we are. Nothing came easy for us and still doesnt.

We have won Airline of the year twice beating airine such as SIA , Cathay, Emirates. We were voted Worlds most innovative company with google , apple , Nike. In total we have won 36 awards. No one could influence in wining these awards.
I hold no malice on anyone who dislikes us or whacks us , all I ask is give me , din or aziz a fair hearing.

And help us level the playing field. Email me , come see me . Im always at the LCCT and ask me whatever.

I love my staff all 6,500 . They have done an aweome job and I am very proud of what all of us has achieved. All through hard work and not through cronyism. Please ask me or email me if you feel anything is airasia has resulted from cronyism and I will gladly answer. I will reply on MAB in a few minutes

kind regards,
tony airasia

And to reply to MAB, Tony commented,

To all on MAB .

First point to note is terminal is owned by Malaysian airports and paid for by goverment who pay a lease to goverment. Airasia asked to build the terminal with its own funds but that was rejected by the goverment.

MAB is a GLC owned by khazana and 30 percent owned by the public . Khazana also own MAS.
Airasia is owned 15 percent by me ,13 percent by Kamarudin , 3 percent by Aziz .The rest 69 percent is owned by the public with over 120,000 shareholders. The biggest shareholder being EPF with 6 percent.

We have been accused of having anada krishnan as a shareholder , mokzani mahatir as a shareholder and now khairy Jamaluddin. As you can see if all of these guys were shareholders we would have very little . And I am happy to do a statutory declaration on that once and for all. It is sad for me and aziz and din.

On MAB the debts that are disputed are from the time we moved in 2006 to the LCCT not 2002 as has been reported. We have paid MAB 300 million rinigitt since we started in 2002.

The disputes arise from the fact that we made many sacrifices in making sure the low cost terminal was cheap for the goverment in anticipation of lower charges. How anyone can charge the same for a terminal that cost 150 million ringitt vs one that costs 2 billion. We dont have walkalotrs , we have less chairs passnager comfort in he main terminal is 55 meters per square meter per passanger vs 7 meters square per passanger at the lcct. Our passangers have to walk a long way as we squeezed more planes into the tarmac. We have no aerobrdge , no computerised baggae, when it rains heavily we cant board passangers. Car park is open air. It is muc further away than tha main terminal .

That is why we have been asking for lower charges which is justifiable.

Of the 100 million, 30 million of for bills that wont due and mab had not booked in our payments. That bings us to 70 million. Of that 12 million is disputed back to 2004 on wording which ahs been resolved.

The balance 52 million is resulting from what we believe is overcharging and that is mediated by the respective ministries.

All moneys have been accrued.

I ask you too to come and pay me a visit to learn more about airasia. We have been good for the country , created many jobs in tourism and avaition related sectors. We have carried the malaysian brand very far. We have beaten the singaporeans.
All we ask is a fair hearing and a level playing field.

Thank you to all for reading this and hopefully you will give us a fair hearing,

kind regards,
tony airasia

Now what say you?

A Black Week

I thought I can write about the movie I watched last night over a post for a Saturday but it is very heartbreaking reading some of the postings that I subscribed to. At times, many felt lucky as Malaysia is a free from natural disasters, volcanoes, earthquakes, typhoon, etc. But Malaysia is somehow had been a sad country itself caused by man made disasters.

I am practically reproducing what I read, see over the postings, I believe this will not be in detail in the mainstream paper.

Aina at most right

Aina, a 17-years old girl. She was 7-years of age when his dad was detained under the cruel ISA. For freaking 7-years, Aina's dad was detained without trial. He can be guilty or innocent in a layman common sense, but this ISA thingy said as long as the government felt that you are a threat to the country, you can be detained under ISA without trial. This is really cruel, innit? You, me, anybody who the ruling authorities felt that you are a threat to the country, they will detain you under ISA.

Summary, the heartbreaking part - Aina was somehow not well, admitted to the hospital and fighting for her life on the 2nd July 2008. Her family immediately informed authorities in Kamunting (ISA detention center) to allow Shahrial (Aina's dad) to be with her for the last time. However, Shahrial was only informed on the 3rd July 2008. Doctors diagnosed and told Aina's mom that Aina had only few hours of life left. Aina's mother made a personal appeal to Kamunting detention center, they are not allowed to release anybody without Syed Hamid's signature. By the time Shahrial was released, Aina had already passed away. It's painful to write this like any other bloggers, it's really painful.

Syed Hamid, God Bless You.

Read more here, here, here & here.

RIP Aina.

Are You Still Confident With The PM?

Pak Lah announced that he will step down as PM of Malaysia in 2010 and no contest for the top two post in UMNO during the perhimpunan agung end of this year.

4 months plus after he retained his power, 5 years since 2003, what had Malaysia becoming? Can we afford to wait another 2 years after all his flips-flops? What if by 2010, he changes his mind? I personally want him & his regime down. He does not even have balls to debate with DSAI this 15th July 2008 on ways how to manage the world petrol price hike (poor Shabery).

4 months plus, Pakatan Rakyat had shown us some enlightenment. I fully support in this call of no confidence motion on our Flip-Flop PM.

Are you with me?

Which Is More Obscene?

This week, the mass media made a huge fuss over the incident of a local punk rocker group whose freestyle performance led to a controversy. The group called Carburretor Dung was condemned as lead singer pulled his pants overseeing his boxer. He was then punched and got bottles, bags, etc flying on him from the crowd. I agree this is unacceptable as there were children and elderly presence on that rally that day.

If the above action is obscene, what about this??? The above is an underground band which myself has not even heard of them but below this is the Menteri Besar of Pahang with his sign language. He is representing the whole state of Pahang.

Well.. in recent weeks, another sign language from our Kinabatangan MP. Why the mass media do not condemn these actions like they did on Carburretor Dung? Hanief did a great job on the below video. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Dr M

I think this guy is rather special, at least the day I was born till now, he is at least the most respected politician (minus whatever negative remarks poured on him). He is 83 years old today and at he blogs too. He had made us proud in many ways, in the eyes of the world, people recognize Malaysia today because of his works where now people around the world recognize us Malaysia as something else.

Well, I am not going to pollute my this post naming some other names here.

Thanks Dr M for the past few decades. Happy birthday and may you always be in the pink of health.

Dr M blogs here.

Love Is Friendship In Fire

I am a strong believer of love. Since the day I broke up with my ex-gf about 2 years ago, I thought I would never have faith in love until six months ago. Six months ago, what thought to be a long long friendship with the opposite sex had been transformed into love. It is true enough the saying love is friendship in fire. I never though I will find love again. Well... we had not been officially announce anything as yet to our family & friends due to both of our work commitments. If everything goes well, my readers will know what to expect.

With the finding of my last few pieces of jigsaw, I can now put more effort into my career and guess what, I go for sports too now. With my buddy, now I play badminton every Wednesday for 2 hours. It felt good to sweat since I had not been burning fats in my body. Everyone knows how much I had put on weight.

After badminton, went dinner with my buddy and went to see 'her' in her office. She had been working a lot of late nights lately. Hope she is all well and finally get her project signed off soonest possible. After that, while on my way home about 10.30PM, saw this medium size lorry selling durians outside my house. All of sudden I got this craving for the king of fruits. Went and bought 2 kilos and now here I am blogging about my day after enjoying the durians.

What a happy happy day minus the political thingy in Malaysia.

PROTES - Will This Work?

The day after the All Blogs 100 Days party, I went to the PROTES rally at Stadium Kelana Jaya which is next to my office building on a beautiful sunny Sunday. Having the priviledge to get a good car park as a season parking holder for Brem Tower, Kelana Jaya. The picture above was taken from the carpark of my office.

PROTES was organized to protest on the petrol price hike and the foundation targeted to gather about a million Malaysians for the rally. Though the turnout was not up to the expectation, I beg to differ with our DPM who said the rally was a failure. Enough of all comments on the media. I was there, and we were there for a reason, a reason all Malaysians will benefit.

Reached there about 1PM, the scene looks like any normal football match day with stalls selling food & drinks. Instead of state jerseys & shirts, the peddlers were selling PROTES red shirts, badges, stickers & head bands.

The event was really peaceful, we were entertained with Chinese lion dances, some cultural performance by the Indian community like below. A beautiful sajak session. The Sunday was overall a beautiful one until one of the underground punk band did their performance. Some obscenities pursuit and there were minor fights occured (trust me, it was really minor, I had seen worst!). The organizer managed to calm the crowd and the rally was continued as usual. The BN owned medias are seriously bias when comes to reporting on Oppossition events, even the news I heard this morning over Mix.FM, they still humping on this small glitches that happened on that rally. When can the media be more free? I am wondering.

In the stadium, I met Uncle Zorro and sat next to him, we chatted a bit not too much on political issues but on our daily life (work, personal, children, etc). He certainly a very much respected figure to me, fighting for a better Malaysia tomorrow for the sake of our fellow Malaysians.

Giant banners coloured the whole stadium. I think the mission is pretty simple, this is what we want and we want to be heard. We Malaysians buy our own car, our own house, put in our own petrol at our own cost unlike Ministers who are chauferred around by drivers, free cars, free petrol, free official houses and being highly paid with allowances. You know, if I have huge salary with huge allowances, I will not need to come here right? That is logic. Mr. Ministers, do you have a heart for the people? For the rakyat?

Not many police were seen that day. But suspected some secret or intelligent agents standing on top of Glomac building. I heard some say that there were attempts to jam the mobile network around the Kelana Jaya area (am not sure whether it's true or not, all my SMSes managed to go through though). Choppers seen surveilling the area as well.

The crowd that night was at the best listening to main speaker of the night. I am not sure of the total turnout, my 2 cents, approximately 20-30k that night.

What's next? I am not sure as well. There is no logic in what our current federal government executed for the past 100 days. No common sense at all. I do hope that Pak Lah & Najib will be brave enough to debate all these rakyat's sufferings come this July 15th. Please tell us the truth. Please enlighten us.

TURUN! TURUN! HARGA MINYAK!

The LG Secret

Those who went for the All Blogs 100 Days event were given a 1GB thumb drive courtesy from LG. I plugged it in, and by default it has some folders with LG latest line-up for their mobile. Some lucky chick won the above pictured phone.

Not to say I am working in LG and I am praising and writing this, in fact, I am not even paid to do this posting. My 2 cents, LG phones improve a lot since the very first launch of their Black Label Series, the Chocolate.

I still regard them as accessories phone catering for yuppies who are trendy and fashion conscious.

The latest phone, The Secret, amazingly come with a 5MP touch media & shockingly with carbon fiber back casing. I have yet to lay my hand on the phone as yet and if any of the LG Mobile team who are reading this post can be kind enough to lend me a phone for review, I will be happy to do so
no worries, I am not as big as Kenny or Jeff, so it will be free :P

I shall be back with posting on my participation in PROTES next!

All Blogs 100 Days @ Blog House

The Alliance of Bloggers' 100 Days night was all fun. There are reasons why I prefer this gathering rather than the animal nuffnang party. One of them is that there is no obligation to write any post like most of the events nuffnang organizes these days all nuffnang gathering that I attended, I had never written anything before, all due to invitation extension to me. And being actively a reader for political blogs, it always feels good to meet people who I regard them as "heroes" of Malaysia. Pretty relax and these bloggers who are fighting for a better Malaysia are all really nice bunch and do not have the tag of "celebrity bloggers" like most nuffnang party fills with.

Tony Yew is kind enough to extend his invitation to me, although I am also working for LG (LG is one of the sponsors for the event), so I am attending as one of the bloggers. Cool lad with good auction skills.

The star of the night was none other than RPK himself, this is my second meeting with him, the first was at a ceramah before the GE. He is always charismatic as usual and down to earth. In fact, that particular day, he came immediately to the Blog House after spending hours at the Sentul police station.

Thanks to the sponsors of the night, LG contributed 4 phones in total. 3 phones were given out as lucky draw prizes that night and the other additional phone will be a SECRET. Go check out other political blogs to figure out how to win this additional phone. Picture below is KS Park (Senior Product Manager for LG) & the famous Uncle Rocky.

With all the petrol price hike, we surely need this. Kind contribution by AirAsia, trips to Bali damn, I need a getaway!!!. Picture below AirAsia GM Aziz Bakar with Rocky.

I did not took many pictures myself though. Managed to get one with Uncle Bernard & TV Smith. And also not forgetting the MP for Kelana Jaya, YB Loh Gwo Burne & his brother Gordon.

Oh ya, Josh Lim was there too. Well, there maybe a thing or two disagreement between us but that night we had fun right Josh? No hard feelings mate. And Boss Stewie was not seen which is rather weird as Jeff & AirAsia were there. And picture below Kerp with LG Marketing Exec Nicole & LG promoter.

And the only MP from BN, Jerlun YB Mukhriz Mahathir, he definitely made the difference. But the night is unique, as per RPK say, the night at Blog House, everyone comes together discarding their (political) differences.

Other prominent bloggers who were there last night - Nuraina @ 3540 Jln Sudin, Malik @ Disquiet, YB Jeff Ooi, BigDog, Haris @ People's Parliament, YB Ronnie Liu & apology if anyone that I miss out. Oh ya, a big celebrity joined us too. For more pictures do pimp Jinggo.

Thanks to all the sponsors for prizes though I win no shit. It was definitely a very nice outing though some did not, I don't know why. And after Blog House, I went to another LG event at Maison Heritage Row, more pictures tomorrow.

Cheers!
