Moment of Truth

This week is pratically an awful week for me, it seems like I somehow lost the touch & inspiration in whatever I do including posting a blog. My brain always seem to have never-ending thoughts that I love to share but for this time around, I am a bit lost & tired.

Tired of what happening around me. Tired with my country, with all the No Action Talk Only (NATO) politicians endlessly battling themselves out publicly. Tired with the underpaid and long hours that I have to battle through Monday to Friday. Tired of paying my monthly commitment to the bank. Tired of friends & colleagues asking me silly questions that I have no answer to it. Tired to love and tired of waiting to be loved.

I cannot wait to end this week, it is definitely a week I want to erase and get my engine started again next week. I refuse to talk bout politics & my work, I want to make it a point I leave the office 6.30Pm sharp today.

Next week - looking forward to my sister from Hong Kong, looking forward to my holidays with my family in Port Dickson.

Forgive me, I am leaving now.... for.... RedBox, Curve.

Happy weekend everyone. Cheers!

Here In My Home

Here in my home; the federal government send a warning to bloggers that they are watching us. Watching & warning us the bloggers who are telling the truths. I say to you my dear government, "I Blog Without Fear"

Here in my home; just a couple of days back, I watched over youtube a Chinese teenager being brutally beaten by FRUs and plain-clothes policemen. Seeing my fellow Malaysian brother being beaten, I am angry and I will further condemn the government and press & promote for a total change. It seems that they had not learn their 8th of March political tsunami lesson, the flip flop led government still as arrogant as before. I embedded the video from Malaysiakini, watch it & tell me if you are as angry as I am or not. Damn!

Here in my home; prices of food & drinks increased, my salary increment is so pathetic, am having really bad day at work place, I wish I can politicking well in office too, but too bad I am not sound at polishing certain figures' shoes. Everything negative seems to jumble and hit me at one go, I collapsed and try very hard to be at my feet again. I will be back, I promised!

Here in my home; however, I have 120 Malaysian artistes who care for our unity. Kudos to the 120, you definitely put the real MPs to shame by touching hundred of thousands Malaysians. Check out their site here, you can download the MP3 of the song absolutely complimentary. Check the music video and the content of the song is something those corrupted. Here you go... everybody sing a long.

Here in My Home
- Malaysian Artistes For Unity -

Hold on, brother hold on
The road is long, we’re on stony ground
(But) I’m strong, and you ain’t heavy
Oh there’s a miss-spoken truth that lies
Colors don’t bind; oh no
What do they know? They speak falsely

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

(Chorus)
Fall in, fall in
Fall in with me
Fall in, fall in, fall in with me

Push back sister won’t you push back?
Love won’t wait, just keep pushing on
Yes I’m strong, you ain’t heavy
Oh don’t you worry about that
What we have shadows can’t deny
Don’t you know it’s now or never?

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
And that’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one … ?

(Rap)
Years of fears and years of tribulation
The heart keeps searching for that endless devotion
Hand in hand we’ll march like blood brothers
I speak for my people, hope we’ll find peace forever
May the road ahead quench my thirst for success
May the road behind echo a song of the blessed
Yes I feel it in my bones, so I will let it be known
That no matter where I roam this is home sweet home
Sing!

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

The Ladder Is Too Hard To Climb

As you entering your middle age, for those who are working & climbing the corporate ladder, job motivation & satisfaction play a significant role to push you up to another level. I had just gotten my evaluation and the results are not up to my expectation.

To many who knows me through my blog will thought that I am a highly paid manager after throughout these years I spent in the same company but to many who knows me in real person would commented that I am underpaid based on the contribution & hours of work I spent in the office.

I am always hesitated to write about my job but the uneasiness I am having now prompted me to vomit what I felt inside me. Looking back on the increment & promotion, at times you wonder, why certain individual seem to be appreciated more than the others? I am not particularly super upset over my increment & promotion, I feel it is only fair for me to be evaluated again next year as I am holding a new portfolio altogether this year and I am pretty sure my department will fair well this year. Life is about 2 choices anyway, I had sent ultimatum to my immediate boss and he agrees that my increment is not justifiable as well, I am keeping my option open and at the same time my passion for my work is still burning as ever. I just hope it will not die off, I see myself to be somebody here and I want to make the best out of my career here.

As a consolation to my bad days last week, I pampered myself over the weekend, I put aside all my job assignments and took time off to try out the Fish Spa. I tried the Sampuoton Fish Spa located in the Merchant Square, Tropicana. I took the Fish Therapy package which comes with an hour of fish nibbling my whole body. It does feel akward but it was a good experience.

After the fish therapy, I went for 2 hours body massage at The Sokushindo, Bandar Puteri Puchong. It was really good, highly recommended, I felt so much refreshed on a Monday where many would be experiencing Monday blues.

Congratulations to my colleagues who got a fair bit of increment & promotion and to those who felt like shit me now, patient... Life is all about 2 choices, isn't it?

Thorn(S) in the Flesh

Tun Dr M vs "Flip Flop" Pak Lah received many reactions from other netizens who blogged. Who is the real thorn in the flesh? As vocal as before, I felt Tun Dr M won the battle over the sleepy head, read Chedet.

This man below calls Tun Dr M the thorn in the UMNO flesh finally left. And Tun Dr M countered with this. Don't you remember you were once the thorn as well?

If it is true that this man is the thorn in UMNO's flesh, why this old man wanna involved the King to solve the issue? Aziz Tapa, lu ni OK tak?

I would say the REAL thorns are still enjoying themselves in UMNO. Love the poster below from Mob's Crib.

Let's watch the drama. Now only the beginning!

The Double @ Soul-ED Out

6 hours ago, I was at Soul-ed Out, Hartamas witnessing one of the best UEFA Champions League final ever. A devil through thick and thin, it was a night to remember, I still can hear the echo of the devils that flooded Soul-ed Out and chanting "Glory Glory Man United", what a season, we are indeed the better team. My utmost respect to Scholesy, Giggsy & Fergie. Thanks for the phenomenon season. For the other devils who are reading this, let's paint the town red.

I am on leave today, feeling like a zombie now, I will need to have a good rest after this very posting.

More To Quit UMNO

What a holiday? What a Wesak Day to remember?

Tan Sri Sanusi Junid, veteran UMNO member quits.

Then it was our former PM for 22 years, the No.1 UMNO member Tun Dr Mahathir.

Who is next??? Read full story here. And in a related development, check out Rocky's Bru.

Dr M indeed hold a significant status even though he left the office for quite some time already. The traffic to my earlier post was triple fold thanks to PPS, a highly recommended blog pinging site which in my humble opinion works better than nuffnang innit. Google "Tun Mahathir Quits UMNO", I can be found in the top 10 list. Thanks to PPS.

Yuen Buffet Steamboat - Frightening Experience

Bumped into few bloggers accidentally over dinner a while ago, to be exact bumped into Stewie, Samantha, KY & partner. We happened to dine in the same steamboat restaurant, Yuen Buffet Steamboat in Sunway Mentari.

All pictures courtesy of KYSpeaks in his earlier post about this buffet steamboat outlet. To be frank, besides it is cheap, I am not totally overwhelmed or over excited about this steamboat place. I see people flooding this place, and I do not freaking understand people fight for food here. Damn it, I mean there will be scene like hungry ghosts lining up and pushing their way through just for CHICKEN WINGS. Niamah!

After dinner, chatted a little with Tim, he enlightened me on something, this blardy Yuen Restaurant is like a bomb, waiting to be exploded anytime. We both do not remember seeing water sprinkles or fire extinguishers in this building and it is a hazardous place really to dine. It is pretty frightening after he mentioned that to me. And sorry to Sam for the smoke (sorry, I indeed know you are allergic to smoke), KY you are too big to know me lar, I am just a small ikan bilis in this blogosphere. Keke... Anyway nice to meet you & your partner.

Thank Buddha it's holiday, I never like Monday Blues. Hope can catch a movie later with *ahem*

The REAL Definition of RUDE

Not too long ago, Karpal Singh, the DAP Tiger was regarded as disrespectful for allegedly "QUESTIONING" the powers of the Sultan of Perak over the reinstatement of state Religious Department director Datuk Jamry Sury, who had earlier been transferred by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.

The above mentioned were splashed all over the major newspaper and created such a hoo-haa among the UMNOputras. Even our 'Flip-Flop' PM urged the Attorney General to speed up the investigation of the case when there are far more cases yet to be solved in this country.

Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) secretary-general, in the press statement commented,
"...it was unbecoming of Karpal, who is also Bukit Gelugor MP, to release such a statement, which could THREATEN RACIAL STABILITY. His statement not only insults the Sultan, but also the Malay Rulers institution and the Constitution. He is RUDE and should apologise to Sultan Azlan Shah for issuing such a statement."

Izin-kan saya yang berhormat, excerpt from Malaysia-today article,
"...Rosmah phoned His Highness the Sultan of Selangor and scolded him. Rosmah spoke to His Highness the way you would scold a dog that shit on your new carpet."

Read the full stories here.

Can someone tell me the definition of "RUDE" now?

Hong Kong - 黃大仙祠 & Snoopy World

The beginning of a new week again. 2 months plus after the political tsunami that hit Malaysia, political condition in this country does not seem to improve in any way. Heck care to politics today. And my all time favorite football team won the EPL last night, a much deserved win and we will end this month smiling with the Doubles. Ferraris did well in Istanbul. It seems that the Reds are having hell of a week last week.

However, I am still not done yet with my Hong Kong trip. This post around I will write about
黃大仙祠 and The Snoopy World that I pimped during my recent trip there. Click to enlarge the the picture below for the panorama view of Hong Kong island. I still miss Hong Kong very much, very very much indeed.

In Hong Kong, this is one of the most important card that you cannot live without. It is even more important than your credit card. Remember to get this Octopus card at the nearest MTR station and it is just like a prepaid card where you can use in most convenience stores like 7-11s, etc, and not forgetting too, the public transport. This card is a MUST.

黃大仙祠 or in pinyin known as Wong Tai Sin Temple is the most famous shrines in Hong Kong. If you have not been there before, you most probably had a glimpse of this place before in some Hong Kong TVB dramas.

Getting there is pretty simple. Take the Kowloon line MTR and stop at the Wong Tai Sin station (obviously right?). Like any main MTR stations in HK, you normally walked through your way in some shopping mall greeted by a very helpful signages all over.

As soon as you step out from the station, it will be obvious that you are approaching the temple soon as along the way, you can see many stalls like the below selling joss sticks & prayer items. My advice is that, you can buy the joss sticks but not those burning papers because you end up not being able to bring it in.

This is the main entrance of the temple. Burning paper is strictly prohibited in the temple. First timers normally do not realize this until the guard warned. You will only be allowed to bring in joss sticks, those burning papers will be left in a special basket in front of the entrance.

You will be welcomed with a garden with pretty peaceful surroundings. You can see people busily praying and placing their joss sticks at the numerous shrines in the temple.

This is also the place Buddha devotees praying their Buddhist chants here. Everyday, the people of Hong Kong will flock this temple to wish for good health & prosperity. You can see mainly ladies will do the tradition of (Kau Cim), a Chinese fortune telling methodology.

Neat & clean, it has clear signages to lead to various parts of the temple. Right behind the main altar, there is a garden where you donate minimum HKD$10 (if I am not mistaken) to enter. There is no ticket conductor or so, purely based on your sincerity.

In this garden, you can see traditional Chinese architecture resembling Pagodas. There is a pond which housed Japanese Kois, tortoises & lilies.

As you climb up, you will be greeted by a stream & a waterfall.

I managed to self-timer camwhored myself as I am traveling all by myself. Excuse this camwhore bitch ya :P

The view on top of this temple is simply amazing, with the not so hot weather, it is an enjoyable noon afterall.

Some large vending machines in the temple. Coke Diet is not that popular, in HK they have this Coke Zero.

After the 2 hours tour in Wong Tai Sin, from the Kowloon MTR line, I took the railway line to Sha Tin (沙田), direct translation 'Sands Field'. Like I mentioned before, in HK, you really do not need to own a car, the whole public transport system is so complete, car is not an essential criteria to get attached here :)

Upon reaching Sha Tin station, it is another shopping mall-cum-station called New Town Plaza. There is nothing much to talk about the shopping mall except that it houses IKEA furniture store (our Malaysian store is much larger though).

At the balcony of level 3 of this mall, that is where the Snoopy's World is. I thought it is a pay-to-enter kind of park, but it is absolutely complimentary. I am not a Snoopy fan though but cannot help myself to camwhore a bit in this park :P

Finally the last picture. My message on this picture to all my readers is that, "Traveling in HK is PEANUTS! You will never get lost"

There are more to come on HK.

Stay tune!

DEVILiciously The Champ

What a night. We won not by the goal difference, we deservedly won two points above Chelski.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 41st goals in the 2007/08 campaign, and Giggsy marked his record equaling Sir Bobby Charlton with 758 appearances + a goal. Full match report here.

10th Premiership titles in 16 years.

To the Blues, Kops & Gunners who are reading this blog - better luck next time!

Enjoy the celebration to the fullest, enjoy the goals below...

The Double is COMING!!!
