My Birthday Celebration & Updates from Hong Kong

Guys, been neglecting my blog for a bit. Last week practically a busy week for me.

Attended the Asia launch of LG latest Chocolate phone, BL40 at Four Seasons, Hong Kong. Met up with some Malaysian medias & also my ex-colleague, Nicole. The launch was the best LG launch that I had attended so far. It was somehow glamorous for a launch to be decorated with global celebrities like Chi-ling Lin & Nadya Hutagalung.

The press kit given was very well done with an USB drive containing the soft copy of it & product images making updating the blog easier than before.

After the launch, went out with ex-colleague for a shopping & makan around in Hong Kong, good to catch up with Malaysian friends.

Then came my birthday which is a working day for me. My day started at client's office for a meeting then at night my sis arranged a hotpot dinner for me together with some of her colleagues, thanks Sis, Aileen, Jenny, Brian & Allison! The dinner was great!

Then Jenny popped up a suggestion of going to karaoke since it was my birthday, everyone was too shocked to response to her suggestion. Jenny looks like in her 40s but she rocks! Then we decided to go down town to Mongkok Redbox, it was hell of a night thanks to the beer. Thanks people for making it something for me to remember here in Hong Kong.

And not forgetting too, the wishes which I personally thanked each & every one left on my Facebook, SMS & Twitter. So it's back to work again for me, I plan to get it done as soon as possible and if everything is on track, I will be meeting up with my friends in Thailand for a short holiday before I head back to Malaysia.

Jolly time over, back to serious business now! :)

Happy Birthday To Me!

This post is specially made to thank all wishes I received via Facebook & MSN. This is the first time I am out of Malaysia on my birthday. And it is those wishes I received kept me warm while I am at foreign soil.

Received a call from Thailand as well and it did somehow brightened up a bit of my day although I know I got to wake up 7AM later to attend a meeting with client. And thanks to a dear friend who sang me a birthday song all the way from Malaysia, my dear, believe in yourself and let's look at the happier and brighter side ya!

I am indeed really happy now... Guess I am gonna have a sweet sweet dream, and pray for me people, cross fingers that the client will give me a big YES during the meeting on my birthday!

Updates From Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka

Yes, I am a Malacca boy, had my primary & secondary education here before I further my studies in Rahman College, Kuala Lumpur.

Looking back, how Malacca had changed. Since my parents are residing in Malacca, I make it a point to come back as often as I can to be with them. This weekend is my second trip back this month and it's always a pleasure to stay away from the hustle & bustle of city life to rejuvenate myself in my hometown.

Woke up at half past 9 this morning, mom prepared home-cooked food. I then sent my car for major repair (burning my pocket again) before following my younger brother & his wife to Dataran Pahlawan (the latest mall in Melaka). While they went off for movie, I decided to stuck my fat ass in Big Apple Donuts & Coffee, surfing, facebooking & blogging.





Thanks for messages, comments & calls after the previous post. Blogging & writing are the best medium to express myself.I just felt the age 30 felt like a crossroad, at times you miss your school mates, at times you will miss you college mates and for single like me, on particular time I miss the girls I am involved with. One of my ex MSNed and encouraged me to pursue the girl I mentioned in my previous post once again.

At this point of time, I still feel the time is not right yet. I had better learn to love myself more before I learn to love others.

Happy weekend and I am taking this opportunity to wish one of my favorite girl a very happy birthday & may all your wishes come true. Happy birthday Nikki! Muacks!!!

Happy Birthday Mikemmery's Mommy

8th January 2008. Early morning I made a call to mom as today is her birthday. Then for the whole day I am out of office meeting clients all over, from Mon't Kiara to Putrajaya then to Sri Damansara. Finished with my client about 9PM and while driving home from LDP, I felt the rush of inspiration in me to write about mommy as today is her auspicious day.

Happy birthday Mommy!!! Sorry for not being able to celebrate with you but we had a great dinner last week right?

My mommy is officially 53 years old. And I looked back all these years to present day, it is her who had been listening to me attentively, gives me the support and courage when I am at the lowest point of my life. I shared a lot with mom. Even my darkest secrets but she never condemned me and if not because of her, I would have given up my life.

Mom knew I had tattoos, 3 of them. One bearing dad's & her name. Mom cried when she knew I broke up, mom introduced to me those evergreen English songs of her era during my childhood, mom helped me when I confronted difficulties, called me to console me when she knew I am upset. I can just go on & on about her.

Thanks mom for all these. Just want you to know that although I am pretty stuck up with my work, I cannot get my mind off you.

I wanna take this opportunity to thank all those who made my 30th birthday a memorable one. It was one of the best birthday ever.

There are far too many people to thank so I am not able to list them down all here. My colleagues, my personal friends, all my ex-girlfriends, schoolmates, college mates, blog readers, other fellow bloggers and wishes I got from Facebook. The list can just go on & on. Thanks people, I love you all.

And to my MD who also my boss, thanks for the wishes. Appreciate it, never in my life the top person of a company walked to my desk and wished me. And what surprise me is that he reads my blog and imagine a Korean boss.

I am currently in Hong Kong now holidaying with my family. I will find time to blog and to post nice pictures as much as I can. It's Autumn in HK now, great weather, great food.

Rakyat Independence Day

I am still overjoyed with the Permatang Pauh by-election results. Young adult like me who has never experience the real independence day back in 1957 finally know how it feels to be in one. And the very first live blogging yesterday indeed brought a significant traffic to my site thanks to some blog aggregators.

Throughout 2008, this will be the best week for me. I will be taking a long leave starting tomorrow and will only be back to work next Tuesday. To readers who already plan their trip for this long holiday, if you ever come to Melaka, do buzz me. Add me on my facebook and send me a wall message, will definitely glad to catch up for a drink or two with you peeps.

It will be a short post for now. I am on half day leave today, perhaps getting myself wasted again tonight. And oh please, today another person ask me if I am attached or not. Well, I do not think I have that look to charm girls all the time nor do I look like a playboy. I am very much single & available. I am not seeing anyone or whatsoever but I understand at the crossroad age of mine, being single is rare but no worries, I believe there will be someone out there.

The Man Became Alive Again

Today marked the 3rd birthday of MikeMmery. This site had been faithfully listening to me for the past 3 years. It must be tiring for the her listening to my ups & downs, my joy & sadness and of late been the space that I ranted out my political views in the country.

When I started blogging, there were only 2 incidents when I was forced to remove a particular post. First it was last year when I rant & question about a colleague's capabilities & contributions to the company. I was given a show cause letter by my company and was asked to remove the post immediately. It is not a nice feeling to write what's in your heart and forced to remove it then. Anyway, I now understand that not everyone can tolerate constructive criticisms.

The second incident was about 2 days ago. Many who have been following my blog would assume that I am seeing somebody after my last relationship. I had been discreetly sharing my happiness through here but not as in depth. 2 days ago, it was this anniversary that I felt had a significant impact on my life, I blogged about my happiness only to be asked to remove the post hours later. It was again not a nice feeling that I have to endure for the past 2 days thinking of what I had done wrong. It is not as if I am having a secret affair with some married women or so. The past 2 days been terrible for me. I was given the ultimatum to keep it as low profile as possible which I think I did a good job. Statements after statements from her, it does not sound logical and very inconsistent, I just felt that she is not as ready as I am.

Today, the birthday of MikeMmery, the man himself became alive again. I am very much a single, I felt that I did tried my very best to please my girl and when she asked for a split, I thought, it is not easy for me to make that call and if the girl can make such call without processing it with the sane mind, then I believe the journey should end. Through this one month journey with her, I had walked so far ahead of her where she is finding hard to keep up with my pace, then perhaps I will wait at the next nearest oasis to wait for her to catch up with me.

Today, also all men on earth become alive. EPL is back. I am going to jazz bar tonight with someone. Hmm... whether I am sad or not... hmm... not as in drop dead sad but I start to lose a bit of fate in love, a little tired and it's about time to focus what I am good at. I am hitting the crossroad of 30 this year, of course seeing couples, seeing my friends got married and having kids, I do felt something. I want to have such ending as well but God has not send someone that has the same kind of chemistry as I am.

I think this guy is rather special, at least the day I was born till now, he is at least the most respected politician (minus whatever negative remarks poured on him). He is 83 years old today and at he blogs too. He had made us proud in many ways, in the eyes of the world, people recognize Malaysia today because of his works where now people around the world recognize us Malaysia as something else.

Well, I am not going to pollute my this post naming some other names here.
