The Reality of Being a Malaysian

A friend had just sent me an article and in the article contained hard facts, facts that I cannot deny. I am not too sure if you feel the same as me, I realized that friends & relatives around seem to get lesser & lesser.

Those years when Chinese New Year drew near, all sorts of gatherings & appointments filling up the diary but somehow this year 2010, I felt emptiness inside. Even the phone calls & face to face meet up had become much lesser.

Perhaps they are busy with their own things to do or perhaps people nowadays prefer to stay in. However, this is not entirely true, thinking further, actually all my old friends & relatives are very much alive and well, the hard fact is indeed they left the country, Malaysia.

Take my sister for example, she has plan to buy a property in Singapore and eventually settle down there with her husband.

My friends, Myke, Damian, Steve and a few more had already settled down in Singapore. All of them are already PR and some were offered citizenship too. Most of them are enjoying an income much higher than most of us here who still stuck in Malaysia.

Another friend, Lawrence had migrated to US, Kenji & Loh to Japan. My cousins in Canada & Australia. These are just few names that I mentioned here, the list can go on & on...

At first, I thought these are individual cases but after further thought, these are more than individual cases, in fact these are general symptoms of our society. These are big numbers and the statistics as follow.

Department of Foreign Affairs released the figures and confirmed that the situation is real. From March 2008 through September 2009, a total of 300,000 Malaysians migrated to other countries, among them 200,000 left between Jan - Aug 2009 (in the span of 8 months).

Cumulatively, a total of 2 millions Malaysians migrated, this number is close to the number of Indonesians workers in Malaysia today. The difference is, those who migrated are mostly professionals & middle class people. Hard fact indeed!

Those who migrated have many reasons to do so (even myself); to pursue career development, for the future of their children, in search of better life & environment. In short, they actually lost hope on Malaysia. With the recent racist remarks thrown to us Chinese as prostitutes & fellow Indian as beggars, not forgetting too attacks on churches & temples. What is happening in this country?!?!?

50 years ago, people said Malaysia is very good, far better than Hong Kong and even Japan. 30 years ago, people said Malaysia is not bad comparable to South Korea & Taiwan (no more mentioning bout Hong Kong & Japan). 20 years ago, people said Malaysia can do-lah, at least better than China & Thailand. 10 years ago, people said no matter how bad Malaysia is, cannot be worse than Vietnam & Indonesia (China had since booming into first world country).

Today, the economic growth rate in the above mentioned Asian countries had far exceeded Malaysia. Social & intellectual development had also developed tremendously. And we had politicians in the ruling party comparing us to Philippines, Myanmar & Zimbabwe. Sigh...

However, an economist who recently surveyed Philippines foreseen that in 20 years to come, Malaysia will replace Philippines as the world exporter of Malaysian maids.

Over half the century, Malaysians live in the big old imperial housing complex, closed up and survive on properties left behind by the ancestor; continue to consume up social resources, wasteful, and drive away talents; they never talk about competitiveness, totally neglect productivity, and hate meritocracy.

When Asia economic storm hit in 1997, Malaysia closed their doors, thinking we beautifully avoided a disaster, there even think of themselves as genius, being able to handle the situation so well. However, just look at other countries in our neighborhood, they stand up, face the storm, and walk out of the storm. They overhaul the system, improve the processes and march forward, they moved up to a new level. And Malaysia, still walking on the spot.

These are all hard facts. It is not my choice to be born a Malaysian, even if other fellow Malaysian from other races would hurl racist remarks on us Chinese, it is indeed not my choice. Why don't we work together to build the nation so that we can once put Malaysia on the map of the world? Why all the negative publicity about us Malaysians?

Time to wake up, we are very very late now...

I Can't Wait For The Next General Election

If we do a simple analysis on the results of the past 2008 General Election (GE), the East Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak saved Barisan Nasional (BN) by giving them the edge over Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

Under Najib 1Malaysia, the popularity of ruling parties is definitely diminishing despite the mainstream medias in Malaysia which mainly controlled by the ruling government reporting endless conflicts within the opposition coalition.

As the title of this post itself, I got a very strong feeling that Malaysia is heading for a change. Malaysians are ready to get out of its so-called "comfort-zone" to at least try out the change.

Let's look at BN and its component parties in an overall picture since the 2008 GE.

Since I am a Chinese, I start with MCA who is representing the Chinese in Malaysia. Look at them now, they are a joke as far as I am concern. The conflicts within the party itself is far worst than the much reported disagreements between component parties in the Opposition.

Now, we look at MIC, party that represents the Indians in Malaysia. Where is this guy Samy Vellu now? Perhaps hibernating at the moment to keep low profile as there were high profile cases against him which was reported on Malaysia-Today.

Now, UMNO which I need not have to say more. The recent government supported demonstration (Najib & his cousin brother said it is ok for the public to protest on the Catholic publication, Herald for using the word "Allah" in their publication) & the protest had caused arson attacks on worship places. If you still remember, the very much peaceful BERSIH & HINDRAF rallies were entertained with tear gases & water cannons. Talking about inconsistencies.

And I have not even touch on issue where the Malaysia military force can afford to lose 2 jet engines. For foreigners reading this, don't laugh, it is true, my country military forces had recently said they lost 2 jet engines :)

All in all, I urge all my friends who have yet to register themselves as a voter, please do so to practice your right instead of complaining and talking about it in mamak or kopitiam. And be a well-informed voter by getting facts & truths from all independent sources.

Why My Country Sucks

The new video circulating around tells what I really feel about my country. I will put up the video later at the end of my post. If you have not know, Namewee, who is a hero to many young people in Malaysia, made a new video to screw TNB, a GLC, a monopoly and one of its kind in its industry.

How many Malaysians have never experience electricity interruption in Malaysia? I doubt there is any. My sister had been in Hong Kong for the past 7 years, she had never experience any of it as far as she is concern. Reason: In Hong Kong, major utilities like water & electricity, do need maintenance therefore the possibility of breakdown is zero! During this few hours maintenance every month, the utility company will advice at least 2 weeks in advance and chose the period when people will be at work most of the time to do the maintenance.

So you tell me, when can Malaysia improve? Even whatever fuck political tsunami or whatsoever, it will make no difference, more than half century gone since independence, I do not foresee my country will go through another half century any better.

To my few friends who migrated and got the other country citizenship or PR status, CONGRATS!!! Hope to follow suit soon! Enjoy the video!

What's Left Back Home in Malaysia?

This is the first time I am away from my home country for a long time. To be frank, I felt a bit alienated and trying my very best to cope with the life here in Hong Kong. It is not easy when you had been in a country for more than 2 decades, building your very own comfort zone, meeting friends, hanging out, mamak-ing, the food and suddenly you find yourself in a foreign country minus all these good o' times.

The first few days were a torture especially finding a good place for food at reasonable price and missing those fun with friends back home but I try to minimize those thoughts, focusing and observing the new culture that I need to blend into.

Somehow I really felt sorry for the state of my home country, Malaysia. Over here in Hong Kong, people are so occupied of what they are doing and the locals are really professional about their daily tasks, be it the cleaner, the waiter, cashier or the hard labors. Everybody is fighting for survival, the more hardworking you are, the more rewarding it is. Indonesians & Philippinos are mainly seen as domestic maid here and the local Chinese seems to me to be able to find a living here.

Now back in my home country, being a Chinese, we tend to be picky with our jobs, simply because we are being paid crap salary. We import labors, and these labors subsequently shoot the crime in our country up. We have crap politicians trying to compare us to Vietnam & Cambodia.

And reading news about home, how in Malaysia the Chinese community can fight for its right when the component party that represents the Chinese in Malaysia is being operated by jokers? And yes, I am talking about MCA. Our friend went berserk and sack yet another fella from his team because that fella is no longer seen as an ally (as many said). I do not blame OTK. Yes, he is seen to be a hero revealing the famous PKFZ scandals, but in Malaysia, you cannot work as a lone ranger. The PKFZ thing once revealed, it will nail a lot of those top people who walk the corridor of power. I do not think OTK can survive this fire fighting internally & externally.

Sigh... what happened man? I just a normal Malaysian who wants to see Malaysia like any other developed countries, is it too much to ask for? Can those who walk the corridor of power share their wealth with the people? And damn why my dad is not a politician? If he is, I probably would have better chance to survive and get financial assistance from any banks.

And stop talking bad about Pakatan Rakyat on how PAS, DAP & KeAdilan are having crisis. Fuck! At least those fellas dare to voice themselves up to condemn each other. MCA & MIC, you are seen to be OK with your partners because you watch too much of Jim Carrey's "YES MAN".

Just too much of bad publicity about Malaysia lately. Can't help myself but to rant aimlessly a bit.

Felt better now... Today, I had a chance to work closely with my client in Hong Kong, it had been a good experience for me to be called to join their internal sales & marketing meeting today. Long day but I learned a lot. I am taking a day break off work tomorrow, meeting Malaysian friends here.

I promised no more on "no solution" political issue in my blog, will post more on my Hong Kong life here & pray for me dude, I responded to an interest on getting me a full-time employment in Thailand. Hopefully they can work out a reasonably good remuneration package for me, ciaoz for now :)

Earthquake & Tsunami Warning

UPDATES: A regional tsunami warning was issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre immediately after the quake but the alert was cancelled at 7.31pm.

Most of us here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia felt the tremors! I was in a building and everything in the office was shaking!

My first time experience and to be frank it's pretty scary. Until now I still having weird feelings on my legs. Whoever thought this kinda thing will happen in Malaysia?

Upon checking the web, it's confirmed that there was an earthquake of 7.9 magnitud in Southern Sumatra, Indonesia. Freaking 500km away from us and we felt it! And now there is a regional tsunami warning issued out. More details here. So friends in Georgetown & Port Dickson, avoid the beach ya!

Everyone is talking about it now... but there is absolutely no education on this... from what I know, for survival - don't panic, get any filled water bottle and hide under the table.

Malaysia - What's Left?

Being the country where I was born & raised, I should be proud to be a Malaysian. But somehow it is the reversal, yes some might argue that we are far better of than country like Cambodia & Vietnam but why do we want to compare ourselves to a country worst than us?

If one day, our natural resources depleted, what's there left for his country? The people who administrate this country are so narrow minded and only tackling on petty issues, trying to bring one another down, playing the religious card.

From the latest WHO updates, more than 32000 in Europe were infected with the pandemic H1N1 with 53 deaths. With South East Asia recorded more than 13,000 cases and 106 deaths, our country Malaysia champion again with 68 deaths! That is more than the whole entire Europe is recording! Don't you think the Health Minister should be accountable for this? What's measure been done? Quarantine & closing schools, colleges & universities? If you would look at the state of our government hospital now, would you be willing to even step in the hospital?

It's good to leave the country again seriously though I am going to miss my friends & family here and not to mention the food here especially Nasi Lemak. Other than that, this country has nothing left for me.

Sad... sad...

Malaysian Telco Needs Overhaul

Before our No.1 telco in Malaysia can really claim its iPhone campaign a success, Apple launched the latest iPhone 3G S in the States. When the iPhone 3G was introduced here in Malaysia exclusively to our friendly telco, I had the impulse of committing myself to that 2 years commitment plus an upfront of over a thousand ringgit with the Value150 plan just to own that revolutionary gadget.

After careful study though, I felt that the package is not attractive at all and to a point I felt it is a crazy package. Inside info from the telco - they had committed a six digit quantity commitment with Apple and the response had not been up to expectation. Within weeks, more and more customized packages were invented and it is now even open up for prepaid users.

My advice - don't go for it. Some of my friends who had already signed up regretted and although the OS 3.0 will be available as a complimentary update, still owning the all new iPhone 3G S is more worthwhile. Apple announced it will be available in the States exclusively with AT&T at only USD199 for a 16GB. I took the trouble to go to AT&T site to study its packages.

Similarly like our friendly telco, AT&T has various packages customized according to the user needs & talk time. However, one thing I noticed - the iPhone is still priced at USD199 regardless what package you sign-up with a minimum commitment of 2 years. And why our local telco is charging circus prices for the iPhone? And if you look at AT&T site, the present iPhone 3G 2.0 price had been reduced to USD149 for 16GB, do the conversion yourself and feel the pain.

So, these people working in the telco, I believe they are under tremendous pressure, so peeps wait a little longer. If not, wait for those AP unit distributor in Malaysia to do its job (we are expert on this), I think the price of APs will be in the region of maximum RM1.5k any time soon.

Same goes to Blackberries, we are always being overcharged for everything, is this fair? And despite the fact of us Malaysians being overcharged the service provided is really crappy. I am talking about customer service. I had recently signed up P148 with the telco that is claiming that it has the widest network in Malaysia because of its attractive unlimited broadband usage. However, 3 weeks due, my line is not even activated yet. Somebody there is sleeping on his job. And I am signing up with a totally new number and not through MNP porting, if porting I understand the hassle because you need to cancel the current commitment with the present telco to switch to another.

Now this is one reason I support AP units! The AP distributors are like Robin Hood in modern age. Keep up the good work!

Encounter With Polis Diraja Malaysia

I am gonna put my "Ghost Of Girlfriend Past Part 2" on hold to slot this in, something that had just happened not too long ago.

I remembered there was once a good buddy of mine told me a story about an encounter with the police of Singapore. This friend of mine was caught speeding in Singapore, he was then stopped by this police who requested him to hand his ID & driving license. While the police took down the details, he asked my friend whether he realize that he was speeding. My friend nodded and he further asked my friend the reason he sped even he knew there is a speed limit on that stretch. My friend told the police that he is rushing for an oversea flight. Then the police told my friend that he had broken the law and he has no choice but to issue a summon to him. However after issuing the summon, the police told my friend that he can get to the airport on time. The police on the siren on his patrol car and with my friend driving his following from behind. My friend managed to get to the airport on time and did not miss the flight. A very reasonable police isn't it?

Well... in my experience today, I was exiting on the Puchong LDP heading towards Old Kland Road. 500 meters ahead, I can see police doing blocks and with me not suspecting any wrongdoings that I had committed, I took the route. I was stopped. The police said I had cut in from a double line!!! I was thinking what double line, he said the double line that separated the overhead bridge to Puchong Jaya and the route I had taken towards Old Klang Road via Jalan Puchong.

Damn! I did not know that is a double line. Well, I had broken the law and not arguing with the police further, I handed him my ID & driving license. He returned my driving license and clipped my ID on his summon book and asked, "Encik, you nak kompaun ke, atau macam mana?"

I asked him back, "You nak macam mana?" He further replied, "Kalau bukak kompaun, kena bayar. Kalau tak nak macam mana?" He threw back the question to me as I already know his intention. I asked again, "You nak macam mana?" Then he said he will compound me. Although I know I might be RM300 poorer but this sums up what are the Malaysian Police Force are made of.

Some people claimed that we are a developed country, but still we have some 3rd world mentality. So, respect for police? A certainly NO, but respect to law? Yes, I am.

Holiday Aftermath

Upon returning back from Hong Kong,

• I have depression
• I have 200 emails to reply to
• I have works & papers piling up on my desk
• I am having a headache right now
• I have no time to do a proper blog post
• I have mental block
• I am wondering why am I born here and I feel disgusted about my own country
• I am not use to driving anymore
• I have tired eyes
• blah...
• blah... blah...
• blah... blah... blah...

But the good news is that, I'm flying to Hong Kong again tomorrow at 9AM

Talking About Change

Change - it can be revolution or evolution. Malaysia? I am currently in Hong Kong, there are so many reasons that this country I felt safe & happy with. Malaysia? When back home, some still arguing whether the PM can be a Malay or a non-Malay, US had shown us the way. Does it really matter what color are you? What ethnic are you? Who care? As long as you are capable, I do not even care if you are orang asli. Like the China former president said in a Chinese proverb,

"... no matter if it is a black cat or a white cat, the cat that can catch a mouse is a good cat..."

After the political tsunami on 8th March 2008, we heard of Sept 16th, it did triggered my hope about this country, and after it fails, now we heard of rumor this December. Dead boring with Malaysian politic circus.

Even Taiwan shocked us with the arrestment of former President last night while we are famous of arresting somebody big accusing him backfucking (yet to be proven though). Deep shit!

Singapore Says This, Malaysia Says That

I am again enlightened by Zewt's post on the Melamine scandal happening in Malaysia. The Malaysian Health Ministry cleared some of the local biscuit brand and says that these biscuits are within safe melamine level.

I am not taking chances people. This country is administrated by bunch of jokers, Health Ministry included so I trust my neighboring country more. On Malaysian Politics

Some readers who frequented here must be wondering why I am not blogging about politics lately. Without many realizing it, it soon becoming a big joke. Politicians to some certain extent should have some wisdom and at the same time should be a role model to the people. But I am not seeing many, our political scene is more filled with 'Barisan Jokers' and it's even more dramatic than any TVB drama making Astro On-Demand expecting to lose some business to these jokers.



With Dollah announcing his plan not to defend the UMNO Presidency, Najib to go for the top post and few jokers going for the No. 2 post in UMNO. You see, everything about Barisan, it's also about UMNO. Presidency in UMNO automatically confirm one as Prime Minister, second man in UMNO will be the Deputy Prime Minister. Yes, Opposition did gave hope, I look at the Opposition coalition, it's really a good partnership for a Malaysian Malaysia - Malaysia for all races but all of a sudden, they went into hiding after failing to deliver the 916 or whatever the number they had promised us.

Malaysia is a rich country - we have oil & gas, plantation, rubber - plenty of resources, this includes human resource. We have plenty of bright talents but mostly opt to pursue their career out of the country. So what's left in Malaysia? Maybe we will not see it in 5-10 years to come, but if the current state continues and with jokers leading the country, Malaysia is going down in history as a joke.

We have Father of Independence, Development, Unity, Modernization and some even remarked the latest one as Father of Shame (Bapa Kemaluan). The script is like an auto-repeat itself, it is like listening to Sean Kingston's playing on the radio over and over again that you feel like smacking the radio. All politicians who about to come into power will always promise CHANGE.

I'll say, "CHANGE MY FOOT-LAH! SKRIP BODOH!"

In Malaysia, a friend who felt the nation is distress did the same as above, and many many of his other friends follow suit, I am one of them too. Because of this, he was given a 4 days 3 nights holiday by the polis which he enjoyed most of it. He will be charged under the Sedition Act soon. Read his latest posting here.

Sometimes you cannot help yourself but to wonder why certain parties in Malaysia are so sensitive over petty things like this. We have kids being taken away, kids who got lost and latest case of a-16-year old being taken and burnt to death. They cannot even distinguish who is the real threat to the nation. Sigh...

Imagine if this kid at the picture below does the same in Malaysia, he will also be charged under the Sedition Act.

Rakyat Independence Day

I am still overjoyed with the Permatang Pauh by-election results. Young adult like me who has never experience the real independence day back in 1957 finally know how it feels to be in one. And the very first live blogging yesterday indeed brought a significant traffic to my site thanks to some blog aggregators.

Throughout 2008, this will be the best week for me. I will be taking a long leave starting tomorrow and will only be back to work next Tuesday. To readers who already plan their trip for this long holiday, if you ever come to Melaka, do buzz me. It will be a short post for now. I am on half day leave today, perhaps getting myself wasted again tonight. And oh please, today another person ask me if I am attached or not. Well, I do not think I have that look to charm girls all the time nor do I look like a playboy. I am very much single & available. I am not seeing anyone or whatsoever but I understand at the crossroad age of mine, being single is rare but no worries, I believe there will be someone out there.

RAKYAT MERDEKA

I am back from dinner, sitting in the cosy Kota Damansara Starbucks sipping my cafe latte, smiling, felt good with the victory. Truth will prevail. We put the People's Power into practice. Makkal Sakthi!!!

Just like Pakatan Rakyat poster, we see hope. Big or small or even a glimpse of hope, it definitely the best gift to the country in conjunction of her 51st birthday. Merdeka!!! Merdeka!!! Merdeka!!!

Not just an ordinary win. A win with majority bigger than the 8th March political tsunami. People had enough of Dollah & his chronies. I was having a drink with a friend with accounting background working for KPMG, he said he is worried Anwar's win will vent foreign investors into the country, economy instability. Well my friend, in the first place, who called Anwar an American agent, British agent, Turkey agent, Chinese agent, etc. Giving the benefit of the doubt, can we also label Anwar as the foreign investor agent as well? And on economy instability, look at any ministers in our Cabinet right now, any of them with some economy sense with the country recording the all time high 8.5% inflation?

I am not sure what Anwar can do but I have faith in the changes he is bringing in. This changes are very much needed not for Malay, Chinese, Indian or any minority etnic of the country but this changes will do good for BANGSA RAKYAT MALAYSIA. I do not want to be Malaysia Chinese, I want to be know as Malaysia Malaysian.

Now the country is not in distress, the Malaysian flag for this week will definitely fly high and who is distress now? The rakyat buried BN & UMNO alive.

Still awaiting the final majority. Pity the Chinese speaking Arif for being UMNO's scapegoat. Let's celebrate!!!

Permatang Pauh By-Election - Final Online Campaign

I was unable to join the rest of other prominent political bloggers in Permatang Pauh. But sehati sejiwa, we should get our prayers answered. Just read Uncle Zorro's latest post from the blogger op centre in Permatang Pauh, you guys rock!!!

Penangites, it's holiday on the 26th for you, this holiday is not just some casual holiday, this day will determine our children & country future. Let's put the People's Power into practise. OK, OK. Some might say PKR people sew it to the vest and snapped the picture and circulated it in the internet. OK, fine. How about this? Remember the Imam in the picture below?



Now, here's the twist. Ustaz Ramlang Porigi who officiated Sai-fool's much publicised swearing on Quran appeared at PKR's ceramah last night and this was what he said,

"SAYA DIARAHKAN"

Hmm... diarahkan by who? Read here, here & here. The choice is clear. Very clear indeed. Will we see another Lin Dan - Lee Chong Wei tomorrow? All the best Pakatan Rakyat!!!

Jalur Gemilang is in Distress

I am having a mental block at the moment. Too many things come at a time but no worries people, those things are good problem. Mentally block meaning this I am uninspired to write something and do not know what to write. Am looking forward to my Friday, but looking at the calendar in front of me now while I am posting this, I am having a very heavy Friday instead, full with appointments.

But I am glad that tomorrow it's Friday. And the final week of August should be a relaxing one. I still have some balance leaves that I would need to clear by next week. Am planning to have a breakaway trip to my hometown. Going to finish the one bottle of Black Label that I opened during my last trip back to Melaka. So if anyone is going Melaka for the Merdeka holiday, please buzz me.

Ahhh.... talking about Merdeka... it trigger me suddenly to write about this (spontaneously). I read in some blogs, that the flip-flop PM with craters face urged the Police to take action on bloggers who show disrespect by flying the Malaysian flag upside down. Fellow blogger, Sheih had on Aug 3 launched a campaign to fly the Jalur Gemilang upside down as a symbol of the people's frustrations and as a signal of a nation in distress. Distress innit? I am distress too. Who to believe and who is not to believe, I am really disgusted, so I answer the call to fly the Jalur Gemilang upside down as the symbol of my frustration.

A while ago, a blogger was arrested under ISA for modifying the symbol of the Police Force. I hope before the police take the action on bloggers who are flying the flag upside down, they should read this.

Sigh... frankly speaking, deep down I have faith in DSAI. I do hope and pray he will win in Permatang Pauh. It had been almost 51 years we are under BN rules, I would love to go for a change at least now, if seriously Pakatan Rakyat fails us, we kick them out in the next GE. Injured Tiger, Hidden Dragon

The tiger was injured badly last night. It was crouching all the way with the hidden dragon behind whacked the tiger's ass nicely. Yes, it was the breakfast topic this morning among my colleagues. All of us are practically disappointed. Disappointed not because of us getting just a silver, disappointed mainly because Lee Chong Wei failed to give at least a fight.



Report stated that the Tiger was under tremendous pressure. Come on Lee, the odds are against you, what pressure you faced? Lin Dan is No. 1, while you are No. 2, and it's Lin Dan's home ground that you were playing. We all understand the odds. Even the local bookie open the odds at 100-66 betting on Lin Dan. Meaning every RM100 bet on Lin Dan, you only win RM66 and if you bet RM100 on Lee CW, if you lose, you only lose RM75. Clearly Lin Dan is the favorite. By the time the second set when Lin Dan was leading 8-0, the odd was if you bet RM100 on Lin Dan, you will only win RM8.

Oh is it the RM1 million rewards another factor that caused all this? Now also not bad right? RM300k in pocket plus additional RM3k every month.

Arrghh... the Tiger is just so bad in sports. Offering saliva drooling rewards will it do good to our country sports? Might as well use those budget, hook up some Chinese players to migrate to Malaysia like what Singapore & South Korea did. Doink!

***LIVE*** Typhoon in Malaysia

I am working in the office until I heard a loud bang outside my office. Feeling curious, I pimped through the window and for the very first time of my life in Malaysia, I experienced typhoon. The thunder is clapping while I am posting this.

2 months ago, I experienced typhoon level 1 in Hong Kong whilst heading to the top of Lantau Hill. Then the next day in HK, I experienced typhoon level 3 where most of the shops there will close early.

What happened today IMHO is probably typhoon level 4-5, the wind is so blardy strong that it damaged & shattered one of the glass doors of my office building.

For those who are planning to leave the office soon, stay till the wind calms down ya. Those who are rushing somewhere, just be safe.
