Pak Lah D-Day?

A very long Friday for me today, finally I can go for my seminar at peace. And phew... finally I can really sit down and do my blog reading at some of my favourite socio-political blogs. The mainstream media again fail to live up to its credibility.

Most of the blogs I pimped today were so hot debating on Pak Lah's D-Day. Our flip flop PM is having trouble to gain warm reception at the states he went recently for meeting. My frank opinion is that he should take the whole responsibility for the BN's awful lost. I am 30 years of age this year and frankly as an average Joe who receive average education, I felt that Pak Lah is the worst PM ever for Malaysia.

I am not a pro-Mahathir, some said to me to be fair to Pak Lah, the shits he is going through now were leftover shits from Tun Mahathir's era. Even so, personally I felt Pak Lah awfully let Malaysia down during his last term. His international appearance on interviews, CNN, etc, I felt ashamed as he has a really poor command of English, the way he speaks, his charisma, are no where to be compared to the previous old man.

As a figure who represent the whole Malaysia, he was many times caught sleeping. His private life overshadowed his contribution to the people of Malaysia. If someone is going to start a poll , I am god damn sure many would ask him to step down. As a person who hold so many portfolios in the Cabinet, he can still find time to travel so much, officiating Nasi Kandar shop and honeymooning with his new found love. And he claimed he worked seriously hard and pictures of him hosting posh dinner for Jean Todt and konco-konco potrayed to the people otherwise.

Pak Lah, it is seriously our hard-earned tax payers money you are spending you know? Controlling the mainstream media does not stop us from alternative media. Perhaps you can say bloggers live with their own set of rules but what about the pictures after pictures that appeared, don't you know that there is a saying, 'pictures speak a thousand words?'

The Hindraf issue, god sake, you condemned these 5 men claiming they are a threat to the country. What kind of threats that you are talking about? They have guns? Bombs? Gosh... at times, you really assume that we Malaysian a shallow minded people, you still live in a state of denial that there are many more Malaysians with better integrity & much smarter than you.

Posters after posters about you, I also really felt sorry about you. I felt sorry and pity for you at times as it involved your whole family. At least I do feel sorry k? You? Do you feel sorry for us people? God knows my man.

Gosh, enough said... I cannot wait for my trip to Macao & HK. Hopefully by the time I come back, I can see another massive change in this country.

Good luck Pak Lah & the Putrajaya 4th floor boys.

Lunch Out : Rojak Mamak & Cendol

To me & my lunch kakis in the office, it is always a headache to choose a makan place. As I work near Kelana Jaya, we had tried most of the popular restaurant & hawker centers there. Few days ago, we decided to go to Taman Megah Ming Tien foodcourt.

Along our journey, we always saw this mamak rojak-cum-van-cum-stall. So sick of Ming Tien as most of the stalls there are overrated and the food are simply awful, we decided to give this mamak rojak a try.

Dressed in monkey suits, we sat along the roadside and each & every one of us ordered a mee rojak & cendol. Though a small van stall, it is quite packed during lunch hour.

While sweating & waiting for our order to arrive, I went & kaypoh at the counter, starting to take pictures with my KS20,like I always stress, I blardy proud of the pictures taken by my beloved KS20 or is it my camera skill?

The counter is pretty clean and the sotong looks blardy tempting.

Finally our food arrived.... Hmm...

Not too bad. Pretty yummy but I still prefer the one in Uptown.

KNNCCB, I am putting up this post at 1.30am and I am feeling hungry now. DAMN!

I read this on a post elsewhere on a blog and I thought it is worthwhile to share and warn my readers. If you ever receive a mail with an attachment bearing the word "POSTCARD", do not open it as it will damage your whole C hard drive.

This is the worst v virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by
Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. Spread the news with your loved ones & friends in your contact list ya.

To guarantee this is not a hoax, check out related post here, here & here.

Geez... I better quickly save enough money to switch to MAC. Careful peeps!

Cheers!

27 Dresses

Dear Jane,

What I told you the other night was true words about my feelings for you. I swear none of those words were made up by any chance or whatsoever. How I wish to get drunk with you and singing & dancing on the counter to the tune of "Bennie & The Jets". How I wish we could have kiss & make love for the first time and deep down I want to know if we have anything in common. I do hope that one day, somehow you will realize that you love me and run to me and we will live happily ever after like I always told you bout the fairy tales ending. The day will come.

Love,
Kevin Doyle ;)

Who is the mysterious Jane & who is the hunk wannabe Kevin Doyle? Hmm....

What Happen When You Hit 30

I felt tired, dead tired. As much as I wanna stay young at heart, I can feel that I am no longer the same old me compared to the very first time I worked many years ago. I am tired, felt old and low after 2 consecutive weekends at work and with this coming weekend of PC Fair in KLCC. I got irritated easily, as when you wanna focus a bit more, you will always be interrupted by never-ending calls, SMSes and ad hoc meeting here and there. Even when I am in the midst of writing this post, I am interrupted by no less than 5 calls. I really feel like going on top of a hill and shout KNNBCCB!!!

My work has really taken its toll on me. Mentally I am drained and out of inspiration to write/blog. I really need a breakaway, I really need a rest & a vacation. I am fucking going to pamper myself next week, and nobody will be able to disrupt my holidays.

And I am flying off to Macao for a commercial seminar this Sunday. The bad thing is that I am on work for this Macao trip but the plus point about this trip is that my seminar will be in Venetian Macao. After the seminar I will extend my stay and proceed to Hong Kong, it is gonna be a very much needed one week break for me. Hopefully I will be able to blog.

*phone calls again*.... Ah.... DAMN!!!

ç„¡è³´

I was driving this morning to office to finish my claim and a bit of paperwork. A song played on my car stereo, "ç„¡è³´" by Ronald Cheng.

"ç„¡è³´" or according to wiki 'rascal', there is only one person who made me feel exactly every single word in the lyrics. Suddenly I miss her, felt sorry to her, and it does not feel good flashing those memories again. I wish her well & happiness.

Gotta drown myself & my emotion with my work. Enjoy the MV people & Happy Weekend!

Pak Lah, You Fail To Plan / Plan To Fail?

Almost a month after the GE, the people indeed made the right choice.

In Pakatan Rakyat, good news overshadowed the negative ones. TheStar, I no longer read you and you no longer The People's Paper, you are more like BN's paper.

And our current government, wtf is going on? First you call our Agong animal, now the tomboy called off all MOUs between the new states government & Tourism Ministry. What's next? Kit Siang sikit issue on the Perak MB, TheStar bukan main, all the journalists, editors macam puppet only... Ptuii!!!

UMNO... unrest! The laki fight laki, pompuan fight pompuan. This UMNO general assembly will stage more dramas & sandiwaras. I am very sure of that. Pak Lah still insist that the people chose him, we'll see lah old man. Hopefully Kuli can save UMNO lar.

MCA... Band of brothers... Ka Ting, Ka Chuan... tag team lah tu... now pulak Ka Ting stepped on Uncle Chua SL's tail, mana tak marah? Fight jugak lar! Drama again!

MIC... very quiet lar... but Uncle Sam damn steady, asked to release itu Hindraf detainees, can update his resume ar someone?

GERAKAN... damn low profile lately, thinking to jump ship? Now no more opposition mar, either BN or PR, choose je lar...

Yg lain-lain? No comment lar babe...

Janji gua saman semua waived... thanks Khalid, gua caya sama lu!

LG KF600 : Mikemmery's Review

My fellow forumers, here the special request on the review. Please note that I am not a professional reviewer of a mobile gadget, I am reviewing the unit as a mobile user and this is not an advertorial.

Since I am a user of a full touch screen phone, I have real difficult times to get use to this new interface. LG KF600 is a slider phone, rather innovative of them to embed a partial touch screen on the main LCD. When it is not slide up, the phone shows full wallpaper on both display LCD and touch screen LCD.

When slided up, it reveals a set of touch screen LCD menu and the chess board lookalike keypad. Like any other LG mobile, this runs on a LG sole proprietary OS & UI. Nothing much to shout about on the menu & applications. But one thing which I am impress is that the phonebook memory. A higher end LG Viewty only comes with a 500 entries phonebook memory whereby KF600 comes with a massive 1,000 entries.

Unlike the conventional slider phone, where you have the navigation cursor that tag along with the keypad, navigation made easier with the touchscreen and since LG PRADA, the touchscreen improve hell a lot as it allows both fingers & stylus access to it.

It also supports handwriting recognition for both alphabets & chinese (traditional & simple). It gives a new dimension altogether for messaging and characters input experiences. It supports up to 2GB MicroSD external storage. For detailed specs, please see here.

Now, let's talk a bit bout the camera. It comes with a 3.0MP AF camera, which I believe would be able to take decent picture for a camera phone that is available in the market now. As I am currently using KS20 (2.0MP), I took some pictures using my phone & KF600, let the pictures do the talking ya.

Unlike the pictures of the phone above which was compressed, the following pictures are original, unedited and uncompressed in whatsoever way. Click to enlarge.

Indoor pictures (Atria Shopping Mall 03/04/2008)

KF600, settings: 3.0MP, auto-focus, white balance incandescent

KS20, settings: 2.0MP, auto-focus, white balance indoor

Outdoor pictures (03/02/2008)

KF600, settings: 3.0MP, auto-focus, white balance cloudy (rainy day today!)

KS20, settings: 2.0MP, auto-focus, white balance cloudy

Macro pictures (03/04/2008)

KF600, settings: 3.0MP, auto-focus, white balance cloudy

KS20, settings: 2.0MP, auto-focus, white balance cloudy

All in all, KF600 is a decent phone but for its price, my 2 cents, it will be good if it is a 3G phone. And I believe many experience poor soft MP3 & ringtones playback on LG previous models, but since Shine, it had improved tremendously. Too pricey though, retailing RM1,138 in the market now.

But heck care, I still like my KS20 more :P

Wa Pang Sai Pun Bo Eng

Busy week for me, I have yet to find time to really sit down & focus on my blogging. Just like the subject above, I hardly find time for myself and after this short post I am rushing to Sunway Pyramid for a meeting. Oh ya, stop asking or telling me that Kenny Sia stopped blogging, his way & style of blogging been so predictable, it's some April Fool joke. How in the world he would give up blogging as it is one of the main source of his income? Mai Siao lar, maybe he will give up his day job to be professional blogger someday, my 2 cents.

Cheers!

Blacklisted Restaurants

These are the blacklisted restaurants in my list.

I am a person who do not mind paying a bit more for good food with good service. Paddington House of Pancakes used to be one of my favourite joint. However today, I had an unpleasant time at Paddington The Curve. Business nowadays would seek labor option from countries like Laos, Myanmar & Nepal in order to be more cost effective but little do they know it definitely tarnished their image when they place these imported labor as the front-liners. I am not discriminating these work force but to dine in Paddington does not come cheap ok and I expect a better service from these people. They are unable to communicate with me of what I want and what I requested. I demand at least a local supervisor to overseeing them and to minimize the language barrier. Till you improve Paddington, you are in my black list now.

Then another makan place which I also banned is the Old Town White Coffee. Overpriced drink and believe me their cup never seem to be full each & every time I order, to make matter worst, it had since changed from glasses to plastic cups. I was there one afternoon a couple of weeks ago, waited for blardy 30minutes for my nasi lemak ayam rendang, when I enquired, the waitress told me system down. HELLO??? What does your system failure got to do with my food? Don't you guys realize we office workers only got an hour for lunch? And I always felt cheated by your menu.

A better substitute to over publicized Old Town is Pappa Kopitam, the outlet that I always go is the one in Kota Damansara. The food & drinks really put Old Town to shame. Do give it a try and see if you agree with me.

There are indeed a few other restaurants that I blacklisted. In Curve, I will avoid this 2 restaurants, Ah Tuan Ee's Place & Ying Ker Hakka Restaurant. Ah Tuan Ee's is so overpriced and the food is nothing to shout about. I would rather go for Madam Kwan Cuisine and knowing that I will not be charged a bomb.

And Ying Ker Restaurant, you called yourself Hakka restaurant? Excuse me, I am Hakka and I am not easily to get conned. Niamah! Pttuuuiii.....

I am having bad day in office & I had not been having a proper meal the whole day, let me rant.... let me rant...

A HUNGRY MAN IS AN ANGRY MAN!

ps: Good deal on LG KS20 & iPhone here
