The Reality of Being a Malaysian

A friend had just sent me an article and in the article contained hard facts, facts that I cannot deny. I am not too sure if you feel the same as me, I realized that friends & relatives around seem to get lesser & lesser.

Those years when Chinese New Year drew near, all sorts of gatherings & appointments filling up the diary but somehow this year 2010, I felt emptiness inside. Even the phone calls & face to face meet up had become much lesser.

Perhaps they are busy with their own things to do or perhaps people nowadays prefer to stay in. However, this is not entirely true, thinking further, actually all my old friends & relatives are very much alive and well, the hard fact is indeed they left the country, Malaysia.

Take my sister for example, she has plan to buy a property in Singapore and eventually settle down there with her husband.

My friends, Myke, Damian, Steve and a few more had already settled down in Singapore. All of them are already PR and some were offered citizenship too. Most of them are enjoying an income much higher than most of us here who still stuck in Malaysia.

Another friend, Lawrence had migrated to US, Kenji & Loh to Japan. My cousins in Canada & Australia. These are just few names that I mentioned here, the list can go on & on...

At first, I thought these are individual cases but after further thought, these are more than individual cases, in fact these are general symptoms of our society. These are big numbers and the statistics as follow.

Department of Foreign Affairs released the figures and confirmed that the situation is real. From March 2008 through September 2009, a total of 300,000 Malaysians migrated to other countries, among them 200,000 left between Jan - Aug 2009 (in the span of 8 months).

Cumulatively, a total of 2 millions Malaysians migrated, this number is close to the number of Indonesians workers in Malaysia today. The difference is, those who migrated are mostly professionals & middle class people. Hard fact indeed!

Those who migrated have many reasons to do so (even myself); to pursue career development, for the future of their children, in search of better life & environment. In short, they actually lost hope on Malaysia. With the recent racist remarks thrown to us Chinese as prostitutes & fellow Indian as beggars, not forgetting too attacks on churches & temples. What is happening in this country?!?!?

50 years ago, people said Malaysia is very good, far better than Hong Kong and even Japan. 30 years ago, people said Malaysia is not bad comparable to South Korea & Taiwan (no more mentioning bout Hong Kong & Japan). 20 years ago, people said Malaysia can do-lah, at least better than China & Thailand. 10 years ago, people said no matter how bad Malaysia is, cannot be worse than Vietnam & Indonesia (China had since booming into first world country).

Today, the economic growth rate in the above mentioned Asian countries had far exceeded Malaysia. Social & intellectual development had also developed tremendously. And we had politicians in the ruling party comparing us to Philippines, Myanmar & Zimbabwe. Sigh...

However, an economist who recently surveyed Philippines foreseen that in 20 years to come, Malaysia will replace Philippines as the world exporter of Malaysian maids.

Over half the century, Malaysians live in the big old imperial housing complex, closed up and survive on properties left behind by the ancestor; continue to consume up social resources, wasteful, and drive away talents; they never talk about competitiveness, totally neglect productivity, and hate meritocracy.

When Asia economic storm hit in 1997, Malaysia closed their doors, thinking we beautifully avoided a disaster, there even think of themselves as genius, being able to handle the situation so well. However, just look at other countries in our neighborhood, they stand up, face the storm, and walk out of the storm. They overhaul the system, improve the processes and march forward, they moved up to a new level. And Malaysia, still walking on the spot.

These are all hard facts. It is not my choice to be born a Malaysian, even if other fellow Malaysian from other races would hurl racist remarks on us Chinese, it is indeed not my choice. Why don't we work together to build the nation so that we can once put Malaysia on the map of the world? Why all the negative publicity about us Malaysians?

Time to wake up, we are very very late now...

What's Left Back Home in Malaysia?

This is the first time I am away from my home country for a long time. To be frank, I felt a bit alienated and trying my very best to cope with the life here in Hong Kong. It is not easy when you had been in a country for more than 2 decades, building your very own comfort zone, meeting friends, hanging out, mamak-ing, the food and suddenly you find yourself in a foreign country minus all these good o' times.

The first few days were a torture especially finding a good place for food at reasonable price and missing those fun with friends back home but I try to minimize those thoughts, focusing and observing the new culture that I need to blend into.

Somehow I really felt sorry for the state of my home country, Malaysia.
Over here in Hong Kong, people are so occupied of what they are doing and the locals are really professional about their daily tasks, be it the cleaner, the waiter, cashier or the hard labors. Everybody is fighting for survival, the more hardworking you are, the more rewarding it is. Indonesians & Philippinos are mainly seen as domestic maid here and the local Chinese seems to me to be able to find a living here.

Now back in my home country, being a Chinese, we tend to be picky with our jobs, simply because we are being paid crap salary. We import labors, and these labors subsequently shoot the crime in our country up. We have crap politicians trying to compare us to Vietnam & Cambodia.

And reading news about home, how in Malaysia the Chinese community can fight for its right when the component party that represents the Chinese in Malaysia is being operated by jokers?
And yes, I am talking about MCA. Our friend went berserk and sack yet another fella from his team because that fella is no longer seen as an ally (as many said). I do not blame OTK. Yes, he is seen to be a hero revealing the famous PKFZ scandals, but in Malaysia, you cannot work as a lone ranger. The PKFZ thing once revealed, it will nail a lot of those top people who walk the corridor of power. I do not think OTK can survive this fire fighting internally & externally.

Sigh... what happened man? I just a normal Malaysian who wants to see Malaysia like any other developed countries, is it too much to ask for? Can those who walk the corridor of power share their wealth with the people? And damn why my dad is not a politician? If he is, I probably would have better chance to survive and get financial assistance from any banks.

And stop talking bad about Pakatan Rakyat on how PAS, DAP & KeAdilan are having crisis. Fuck! At least those fellas dare to voice themselves up to condemn each other. MCA & MIC, you are seen to be OK with your partners because you watch too much of Jim Carrey's "YES MAN".

Just too much of bad publicity about Malaysia lately. Can't help myself but to rant aimlessly a bit.

Felt better now... Today, I had a chance to work closely with my client in Hong Kong, it had been a good experience for me to be called to join their internal sales & marketing meeting today. Long day but I learned a lot.
I am taking a day break off work tomorrow, meeting Malaysian friends here.

I promised no more on "no solution" political issue in my blog, will post more on my Hong Kong life here & pray for me dude, I responded to an interest on getting me a full-time employment in Thailand. Hopefully they can work out a reasonably good remuneration package for me, ciaoz for now :)

Ending the post with a life's good pose taken in Elements, Kowloon, Hong Kong :p

Back To School Days

I felt like I am back to school days. You know those school days when the school will invite your parents to school after the mid-term examination to collect report cards.

Somebody read my blog and called my dad to complain that, "hey your son is writing this this this, la la la", yes it did pissed me a little as my parents called me up to remind me as a 30 years old man to avoid writing about it but I am too weak to feel angry as I had been sick since last Saturday.

Straining my relationship with my family will only come to one conclusion - you making things worst than ever! I will not want to mention names here, but as saying, "Siapa makan cili, dia terasa pedas!"

I mentioned one post earlier, I meant happiness now, I want all well ends well, no threat, no forcing. You can't force me to see someone that I do not want to see right?

And for the people that felt offended reading my post, there is a red X button on the top right of the screen if you are Windows user, and if you are MAC user, there's always one on the top left corner. Nobody ask anybody to read this blog. If I am writing nonsensical stuff, you can choose not to read it, go and read more interesting stuff, now get out of here lamers!

Ok, ciao outside and medicine time now!

Humble or Hamba?

Sorry dude, I know I had neglected yet again this site. There are a lot to share and I do not know where to start.

Let's talk a bit of what's happening at work of late. Few senior managers spoke to me (I mentioned SENIOR MANAGERS) came up to me and gave me a piece of advice "be humble". I nodded and did a bit of thinking about this.

Being my vocal self and always seem to be a fighter in the company, I evaluated those words conveyed to me, "HUMBLE". Let me share a bit of my working style here before I indulge deeper on the word "HUMBLE". I am a fighter, I always stand in my customer point of view, I always debate on my justification over a decision I made. To me, any decision made in business, business sense MUST prevail!

Early last year when I took up the role of business development, practically I headed the department with one of my junior who I had no issue with and we worked closely and get things done and secured. Things changed until early this year when the organization decided to place a Senior Manager whom I need to report to. This had not been an issue and I had tried my best to work with him as much as I can. Being myself, I had numerous occasions where I had constructive arguments with various departments in the company but my intention was good, everyone knows that, blame it on the respective KPIs that everyone got to meet. So therefore certain business decisions I made, I had no choice but to overlap a lot of people in the company and went straight to MD who most of the time sees the logic behind my justification (thanks MD!)

This had in fact angered many parties whom in the end of the day I did went to each and everyone to apologize and hope that they understand that whatever we argued was for work and nothing personal. Outside, I am seem to be a nice person, I can mix well with people in & out of the company. I am glad that some people really understand and accept that Michael Song is what he is and it really take a very tough manager with strong personality to mold me as a future leader. I learned the hard way, during the SEE days, I learned a lot from the top management there and still keeping in touch with some of them.

So back to "HUMBLE", my upbringing and to friends who know me personally, I do have qualities of being a humble person. My clients can prove it. Then come to think about it, is it that some of the Senior Managers want me to be a "Yes Man" or in another word, a "HAMBA" instead of "HUMBLE".

Just as I count my days down in my current company, here by are some really nice testimonials given by my clients.

"He is a fighter. He always at his best to fight for us and very unfortunate that he is taking up bigger role & challenge elsewhere" - Citibank

"He is a very prompt person, very helpful at most occasions and he even came to ground to do installation" - Ireka Land

"Michael is the most friendliest supplier under my list. He had been helpful and supportive in the call to promote Korea tourism. From a relationship of a supplier-client, we are now friends!" - Korea Tourism Organization

"Very helpful and informative, committed even though our delivery dateline to him was tight" - Super Coffeemix

"The only person that I can rely to when I need information and support, great job done in assisting my prize giving ceremony, certainly a good experience working with him even though for a short one" - Berjaya Sports Toto

So "HUMBLE" or "HAMBA"? You make the call!

Malaysia - What's Left?

Being the country where I was born & raised, I should be proud to be a Malaysian. But somehow it is the reversal, yes some might argue that we are far better of than country like Cambodia & Vietnam but why do we want to compare ourselves to a country worst than us?

If one day, our natural resources depleted, what's there left for his country? The people who administrate this country are so narrow minded and only tackling on petty issues, trying to bring one another down, playing the religious card.

From the latest WHO updates, more than 32000 in Europe were infected with the pandemic H1N1 with 53 deaths. With South East Asia recorded more than 13,000 cases and 106 deaths, our country Malaysia champion again with 68 deaths! That is more than the whole entire Europe is recording! Don't you think the Health Minister should be accountable for this? What's measure been done? Quarantine & closing schools, colleges & universities? If you would look at the state of our government hospital now, would you be willing to even step in the hospital?

It's good to leave the country again seriously though I am going to miss my friends & family here and not to mention the food here especially Nasi Lemak. Other than that, this country has nothing left for me.

Sad... sad...

Malaysian Telco Needs Overhaul

Before our No.1 telco in Malaysia can really claim its iPhone campaign a success, Apple launched the latest iPhone 3G S in the States. When the iPhone 3G was introduced here in Malaysia exclusively to our friendly telco, I had the impulse of committing myself to that 2 years commitment plus an upfront of over a thousand ringgit with the Value150 plan just to own that revolutionary gadget.

After careful study though, I felt that the package is not attractive at all and to a point I felt it is a crazy package. Inside info from the telco - they had committed a six digit quantity commitment with Apple and the response had not been up to expectation. Within weeks, more and more customized packages were invented and it is now even open up for prepaid users.

My advice - don't go for it. Some of my friends who had already signed up regretted and although the OS 3.0 will be available as a complimentary update, still owning the all new iPhone 3G S is more worthwhile. Apple announced it will be available in the States exclusively with AT&T at only USD199 for a 16GB. I took the trouble to go to AT&T site to study its packages.

All above pictures are courtesy of http://www.apple.com

Similarly like our friendly telco, AT&T has various packages customized according to the user needs & talk time. However, one thing I noticed - the iPhone is still priced at USD199 regardless what package you sign-up with a minimum commitment of 2 years. And why our local telco is charging circus prices for the iPhone? And if you look at AT&T site, the present iPhone 3G 2.0 price had been reduced to USD149 for 16GB, do the conversion yourself and feel the pain.

So, these people working in the telco, I believe they are under tremendous pressure, so peeps wait a little longer. If not, wait for those AP unit distributor in Malaysia to do its job (we are expert on this), I think the price of APs will be in the region of maximum RM1.5k any time soon.

Same goes to Blackberries, we are always being overcharged for everything, is this fair? And despite the fact of us Malaysians being overcharged the service provided is really crappy. I am talking about customer service. I had recently signed up P148 with the telco that is claiming that it has the widest network in Malaysia because of its attractive unlimited broadband usage. However, 3 weeks due, my line is not even activated yet. Somebody there is sleeping on his job. And I am signing up with a totally new number and not through MNP porting, if porting I understand the hassle because you need to cancel the current commitment with the present telco to switch to another.

Now this is one reason I support AP units! The AP distributors are like Robin Hood in modern age. Keep up the good work!

Hypocrite

Hypocrite is one who hides his intentions & true personality. It can be applied on both an individual or a company. In this post, I will talk about both.

Many MNCs are appointing marketing agency to manage their marketing activities both 'above the line' (ATL) & 'below the line'. So many times we can see a lot of ignorant young birds holding the position of Brand or Product Managers fail to achieve its KPI or define the ROI for a marketing campaign.

Online marketing campaigns which once an alien to a lot of MNCs are now on the most sought after marketing tool to boost branding & sales. However, many marketeers fail to live up to its expectation especially targeting bloggers campaign. In this scenario for example, I am putting a print screen of a real big FMCG company in Malaysia which run a campaign for bloggers to put up a post and in return is rewarding bloggers their self-claimed prizes that won't let you down.

Car drifting? Water rafting? Hiking?

To be fair, some bloggers are being paid as much as RM100 by just embedding the youtube video in a post.

I can now understand why not many bloggers are keen on this and a famous blogger campaigning for this company wrote an advertorial on this while he is touring Vietnam. Is this an all paid trip? Or even considering this is not a paid trip, this blogger charges between RM2k to RM3k per post. Now I know why this smells like victory!

With all this pictures, it does not take a genius to figure out who am I talking about isn't it?

p/s: I will still send my this posting for the contest theme "If I had an absolute extreme life" but I doubt the nuffnang team will forward this posting to the company itself. If this post wins, prizes will be donated to the charity. In between, let me show you the example of a good online marketing campaign and talking about the prizes attractiveness. Check out this site here. At least they do not care whether you have unique visitors of 20 or 20k per day.

The Meaning of Urgency for Dummies

I hardly post anything related to my work in my blog here. Very rarely indeed. But the attitude of some in the office really ticks me off. At my position as the Business Development Manager, I met corporate people from various industries and I do care of what I communicated to these people.

What triggered me to write this is the anger in me, the thought of some young cikus working attitude nowadays. When you blardy promised me something, you better make sure you do it by hook or by crook, no excuse & fast execution. I cannot afford to sit in the office for some people who is wasting my blardy time and blardy ignoring my instruction. If you think you fit to be on certain position in the company then you blardy lift up to the corporate expectation.

The moment we lag behind on certain decision making process, we will lose out to others in this competitive world. Please understand the word "URGENCY" for god sake.

I do hope these blardy young birds learn before it's too late.

For those who got things done for me today, thanks and I appreciate it. My day would be beautiful if not because of one person. Because of you, my project is delayed. Because of you, I am stressed for nothing.

DAMN!!!

On Malaysian Politics

Some readers who frequented here must be wondering why I am not blogging about politics lately. Without many realizing it, it soon becoming a big joke. Politicians to some certain extent should have some wisdom and at the same time should be a role model to the people. But I am not seeing many, our political scene is more filled with 'Barisan Jokers' and it's even more dramatic than any TVB drama making Astro On-Demand expecting to lose some business to these jokers.

With Dollah announcing his plan not to defend the UMNO Presidency, Najib to go for the top post and few jokers going for the No. 2 post in UMNO. You see, everything about Barisan, it's also about UMNO. Presidency in UMNO automatically confirm one as Prime Minister, second man in UMNO will be the Deputy Prime Minister. Yes, Opposition did gave hope, I look at the Opposition coalition, it's really a good partnership for a Malaysian Malaysia - Malaysia for all races but all of a sudden, they went into hiding after failing to deliver the 916 or whatever the number they had promised us.

Malaysia is a rich country - we have oil & gas, plantation, rubber - plenty of resources, this includes human resource. We have plenty of bright talents but mostly opt to pursue their career out of the country. So what's left in Malaysia? Maybe we will not see it in 5-10 years to come, but if the current state continues and with jokers leading the country, Malaysia is going down in history as a joke.

We have Father of Independence, Development, Unity, Modernization and some even remarked the latest one as Father of Shame (Bapa Kemaluan). The script is like an auto-repeat itself, it is like listening to Sean Kingston's playing on the radio over and over again that you feel like smacking the radio. All politicians who about to come into power will always promise CHANGE.

I'll say, "CHANGE MY FOOT-LAH! SKRIP BODOH!"

Please Get My Name Right!

In the midst of my busy-ness, I can’t help myself but to write about this here. At times, I wonder whether my name is so hard to spell or something. I have a common name, a name I believe many celebrities, stars, artists are having it.

But in Malaysia, I encountered many who cannot even spelt my name correctly. It’s MICHAEL but many spelt it the other way round MICHEAL. What’s wrong with you guys? Don’t you know Michael as in Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Michael Chong, etc?

For God sake, some people whom I had given my business card can mis-spelt it most of the time. And when the emailing does not goes through, I was blamed. If you fax or snail mail me spelling my name wrongly, it will still reach me as there is only one Michael in the company, but email, it's not controlled by me, wrong spelling meaning it will not reach me. Get me?

It’s not that hard to spell my name innit? Remember it’s MICHAEL not MICHEAL.

Barked

I hardly blog at this hour (9AM) but an unpleasant incident happened early this morning while I was driving on my way to office. I was being barked as early as 7AM this morning due to an incident in which is not within my control.

I felt lousy, really really lousy. Do I at my position deserve this unreasonable barking from a customer? Though unreasonable, it is a fact that we fail to supply our goods on time to meet the project dateline, I try to be sensible enough to put myself in the customer's position, I believe I would be upset too but not to the extent of using vulgarities like I swallowed early this morning.

Being in the same company for 7 years, sometimes you wonder how the new breed of people handle matters these days. I had been in the sales, product management & now business development to add into my portfolio, I just cannot understand why internally the communication is so weak that we failed to communicate the same to the customer. In my frank opinion, the customer has every right to get upset.

After vomited out what's happening, I felt much relieved. I felt upset because I have to face the music early in the morning. Well... I felt much better now. Hopefully it does not deter me from executing my duties today in full swing.

Thanks to a silent reader again for kind words, this time this silent reader is someone I know through my work. Hmm... she did mentioned "charming". Thanks dear and I do hope you will be my silent reader for a long long time ya.

Cheers!

I Am Hot & Horny Now

Working had not been a pleasure for me for the past few days. The office building I am working in Kelana Jaya is experiencing power problem which caused the centralized air conditioning system in the whole buidling malfunctioning. It had been like this since Tuesday, imagining working in an environment without air conditioning. I am wondering what the hell this Kelana Brem Tower management tackles this problem. For a big man like me, slight movement will caused me to sweat like a cow (but does cow sweat in the first place?). Brem Tower, give me back my air cond, damnitt!!!

In additional to my hotness now, you know there is this once in a blue moon time when you feel particularly horny. I am feeling like that now! How?!? All this started from a SMS from a girl telling me she's naked now! Damn! She officially turn me on!

Party That Rule Malaysia, Party BN, Party Barang Naik

snaps courtesy of TVSmith

Every Tom, Dick & Harry were talking about it this morning and probably they will continue debating about it during their lunch & dinner time.

Petrol price increased by a massive of 40%.

Full tank on my MyVi previously may cost around RM60, now I have to fork out RM84 for a mere 1.3 litre car.

Who to blame? Barisan Najis? The government? I would say it was those who voted them in to be blamed. Parti Keadilan De Facto Leader, DSAI with his press statement stressing that keeping the petrol price low is still one of his top priority agenda.

And you think RM2.70/litre is a burden? Price will be reviewed monthly.

Do you also know that with every increase of US$1 per barrel for crude oil, Malaysia is earning an additional of US$250 million? Where is the logic? Why must we support a government who assumed the rakyat do not know the math? Why compare us to other countries that do not have oil & gas? Why not you compare us with the country who produces oil & gas?

According to the Finance Minister 2, Nor Mohamed bin Yakcop in an interview, "...keuntungan Petronas sepatut digunakan untuk masa depan negara dan juga anak-anak dan cucu-cucu kita..." full interview here.

Anak siapa? Cucu siapa? Goblok!

After petrol, TNB also announced to increase their rates. Who to blame in the end of the day?

Petrol naik.... checked! 40%
Elektrik naik... checked! 18% for home
Barang naik.... CONFIRMED! (?)%

Gaji naik??? I doubt, if yes what is the rate???

Drinking & Clubbing - Code of Ethics

I had slowed down a lot in the clubbing scene this year. Those were the times, many clubs that I usually frequent during my college days here already gone defunct - Emporium, Atmosphere, Nouvo, Viva just to name a few. The only club that is still surviving up to now is The Beach Club.

When we talked about clubbing, how can we not talk bout drinking? If we club & dont drink, it is so incomplete, it is like sex without foreplay. I had gone clubbing with various groups of my friends. I would say I miss my old bunch of club kakis, at least they know what is the real meaning of ethics.

Have you experience before one of those fuckers will keep on knocking your glass asking you to bottom-up? To me, one or two times I really do not mind. But continously a few glasses, and when you refuse to drink, they say you never give face. I mean wtf with giving face or not? I am sharing the cost, I drink as of when I want and I want to enjoy my night and still wake up in the morning without hangovers. Not only that, I hate going with bunch who know the fact that we going Dutch on the cost, they are WASTING liquor like nobody business. Imagine 3 bottles of Black Label for a group of 10 pax in less than an hour. Crazy right?

Things are getting real expensive now. Last I heard there will be a great petrol hike tonight. After BN won the GE12 tragically, this is what they had delivered to us. And we got some talk-cockers keep on stressing on the government subsidy to the rakyat. 8th March, we Rakyat want a change. This time, I want you corruptors out of the government, Goddamnitt!!!

The Ladder Is Too Hard To Climb

As you entering your middle age, for those who are working & climbing the corporate ladder, job motivation & satisfaction play a significant role to push you up to another level. I had just gotten my evaluation and the results are not up to my expectation.

To many who knows me through my blog will thought that I am a highly paid manager after throughout these years I spent in the same company but to many who knows me in real person would commented that I am underpaid based on the contribution & hours of work I spent in the office.

I am always hesitated to write about my job but the uneasiness I am having now prompted me to vomit what I felt inside me. Looking back on the increment & promotion, at times you wonder, why certain individual seem to be appreciated more than the others? I am not particularly super upset over my increment & promotion, I feel it is only fair for me to be evaluated again next year as I am holding a new portfolio altogether this year and I am pretty sure my department will fair well this year. Life is about 2 choices anyway, I had sent ultimatum to my immediate boss and he agrees that my increment is not justifiable as well, I am keeping my option open and at the same time my passion for my work is still burning as ever. I just hope it will not die off, I see myself to be somebody here and I want to make the best out of my career here.

As a consolation to my bad days last week, I pampered myself over the weekend, I put aside all my job assignments and took time off to try out the Fish Spa. I tried the Sampuoton Fish Spa located in the Merchant Square, Tropicana. I took the Fish Therapy package which comes with an hour of fish nibbling my whole body. It does feel akward but it was a good experience.

After the fish therapy, I went for 2 hours body massage at The Sokushindo, Bandar Puteri Puchong. It was really good, highly recommended, I felt so much refreshed on a Monday where many would be experiencing Monday blues.

Congratulations to my colleagues who got a fair bit of increment & promotion and to those who felt like shit me now, patient... Life is all about 2 choices, isn't it?

The REAL Definition of RUDE

Not too long ago, Karpal Singh, the DAP Tiger was regarded as disrespectful for allegedly "QUESTIONING" the powers of the Sultan of Perak over the reinstatement of state Religious Department director Datuk Jamry Sury, who had earlier been transferred by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.

The above mentioned were splashed all over the major newspaper and created such a hoo-haa among the UMNOputras. Even our 'Flip-Flop' PM urged the Attorney General to speed up the investigation of the case when there are far more cases yet to be solved in this country.

Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) secretary-general, in the press statement commented,
"...it was unbecoming of Karpal, who is also Bukit Gelugor MP, to release such a statement, which could THREATEN RACIAL STABILITY. His statement not only insults the Sultan, but also the Malay Rulers institution and the Constitution. He is RUDE and should apologise to Sultan Azlan Shah for issuing such a statement."

Izin-kan saya yang berhormat, excerpt from Malaysia-today article,
"...Rosmah phoned His Highness the Sultan of Selangor and scolded him. Rosmah spoke to His Highness the way you would scold a dog that shit on your new carpet."

Read the full stories here.

Can someone tell me the definition of "RUDE" now?

Kurang Ajar!!!

FREE RPK

A friend who is also a fellow reader of my blog asked, "Mike, why are you so upset when RPK got arrested as it is none of your business? You had a career, a decent life, why care risking yourself with this post?"

Here's my reply to you. If it is not your flesh that is being cut, you will never feel the pain. You choose to be ignorant but not me. When I read Marina's (RPK's wife) post here, I felt her pain, I felt the tormenting time she is going through as a wife and a mother. We have the power and right to speak out our opinion, my parents gave me higher level of education not only just to earn a decent living in some MNCs but my parents also taught me the basic principle of life. My parents also taught me how to distinguish between what's logic and what's insanity.

On 8th of March, we had shown them the sign, the political tsunami, the voice of the rakyat. Read the wiki definition of Sedition Act (Malaysia) 1948 and using this, the barisan najis think they can f**king (I censored as I know my top management read my blog now) shut the bloggers up and cripple the Malaysiakini operation. Sorry to say, I blog & voice my opinion without fear and this whole saga had indeed upset the whole blogosphere. We indeed had enough of lies & sweet promises from the sleeping log. Arresting RPK alone will not do any help, there are hundreds of other political bloggers out there (although not as insprational as RPK) will definitely stand behind him and we will continue to voice our unhappiness here, this is my own space, we have the exclusivity here. The only law you can do against us will be the Sedition Act 1948.

Am I seditious here?

Well... my hero opts for jail to prove a point, I am here too for a better nation, better law & right and a better future.

PEACE!

We Are With You Pete!

I was at Sri Damansara McD about a while ago, talking about this great man, Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK), with my bunch of best buddies. I told them how he had triggered my senses to what is actually happening in this poor country. A country who lauded "Malaysia Boleh", I am asking "Boleh Apa?"

BOLEH tangkap orang sesuka hati?
BOLEH cakap tapi tak serupa bikin? (remember how Pak Lah pusing about his many statements to the public?)
BOLEH angkat keris and then say sorry?
BOLEH makan rasuah tapi tak boleh makan babi?
BOLEH? My Foot-lah!!!

This great man was taken away, charged under the Sedition Act 1948, blardy 60 years old law. What fcuk pig-sense here? He refused to post bail and now is being arrested. Backed up by 7 lawyers, 4 of them who are the Members of the Parliament. Latest I know, one ringgit one person campaign was launched to bail RPK out, within hours, the fund exceeded good enough to bail my hero out for another 5 times or so.

'made sense' post by politikus, you decide whether the government is insulting the rakyat's intelligence or not. Check out the article "Let's Send The Altantuya Murderers To Hell" by RPK.

This man will walk as a tall Malay. We are with you Pete!

Utusan Malaysia - Insulting Malaysian Intelligence?

Short Note: Going Wan Chai for infamous noodle, sis recommended damn nice.

Look at this masterpiece from Amiruddin Harun & Nor Zainah Nordin. Sekali lagi, stop insulting our intelligence, boleh kah? Jangan buat lawak bodoh. Oh ya, in between the Government revoke Makkal Osai paper, I got a message to Mr. Albar, "Lesen Utusan tu review jugak lar"

Look at their lame Photoshop skill here. Quickly view it, tau lar, mamat nanti dah receive banyak komen, tentu delete punya, macam mamat kat melaka tu.

Fcuking full of shits!

Pak Lah D-Day?

A very long Friday for me today, finally I can go for my seminar at peace. And phew... finally I can really sit down and do my blog reading at some of my favourite socio-political blogs. The mainstream media again fail to live up to its credibility.

Most of the blogs I pimped today were so hot debating on Pak Lah's D-Day. Our flip flop PM is having trouble to gain warm reception at the states he went recently for meeting. My frank opinion is that he should take the whole responsibility for the BN's awful lost. I am 30 years of age this year and frankly as an average Joe who receive average education, I felt that Pak Lah is the worst PM ever for Malaysia.

I am not a pro-Mahathir, some said to me to be fair to Pak Lah, the shits he is going through now were leftover shits from Tun Mahathir's era. Even so, personally I felt Pak Lah awfully let Malaysia down during his last term. His international appearance on interviews, CNN, etc, I felt ashamed as he has a really poor command of English, the way he speaks, his charisma, are no where to be compared to the previous old man.

As a figure who represent the whole Malaysia, he was many times caught sleeping. His private life overshadowed his contribution to the people of Malaysia. If someone is going to start a poll , I am god damn sure many would ask him to step down. As a person who hold so many portfolios in the Cabinet, he can still find time to travel so much, officiating Nasi Kandar shop and honeymooning with his new found love. And he claimed he worked seriously hard and pictures of him hosting posh dinner for Jean Todt and konco-konco potrayed to the people otherwise.

Pak Lah, it is seriously our hard-earned tax payers money you are spending you know? Controlling the mainstream media does not stop us from alternative media. Perhaps you can say bloggers live with their own set of rules but what about the pictures after pictures that appeared, don't you know that there is a saying, 'pictures speak a thousand words?'

The Hindraf issue, god sake, you condemned these 5 men claiming they are a threat to the country. What kind of threats that you are talking about? They have guns? Bombs? Gosh... at times, you really assume that we Malaysian a shallow minded people, you still live in a state of denial that there are many more Malaysians with better integrity & much smarter than you.

Posters after posters about you, I also really felt sorry about you. I felt sorry and pity for you at times as it involved your whole family. At least I do feel sorry k? You? Do you feel sorry for us people? God knows my man.

Gosh, enough said... I cannot wait for my trip to Macao & HK. Hopefully by the time I come back, I can see another massive change in this country.

Good luck Pak Lah & the Putrajaya 4th floor boys.
